My sister used to work as a server at this restaurant, and let me tell you, the owners are the worst. They yell and scream at their employees over small things and are rude to their customers. They don't have respect for anyone, not even themselves. The owners, an elderly couple, have screaming matches in the restaurant. The older man was even cleaning with gasoline while customers were present in the dining area. My sister came home with a terrible headache that lasted for days. They used liquid smoke in dishes as a cheaper alternative, even putting it in someone's Pad Thai dish, which is not safe to ingest. I urge you to go elsewhere for your dining needs. Wow, just amazing food here ! This time we ordered a dragon roll and another along with some Nigiri salmon ,what a difference fresh ingredients make ! The chicken fried rice was perfection and the shrimp wonton soup was also excellent ! We all know restaurants that specialize in one type of food and fall short with their other dishes but this place is not one of them so don't let the sushi in the name fool you this place offers so many different , high quality dishes you can feel confident to try anything on the menu ! The owner Nam recommend trying the Lucky Buddah beer from China , it tastes a lot like a blue moon or other whit beer and comes in a cool green bottle, what a nice surprise !
We have been here three times. Service is always really good. The vibe is ok, just boring kind of, but really clean and nice. Food was amazing the first time we ate here. We had udon noddles and some sushi rolls. Second time we ordered to go, food was slopped together, rushed, and wasnt that good at all. Just went again today, and again, food was amazing. I defenitly recommend going here and dining in. But from my experience, avoid taking out
Chicken pan nang was very dry, chicken tasted like it was from lunch. Salmon roll had way too much cream cheese and tiny slivers of salmon. To be honest, this is the best sushi in Tampa. We've tried all the others. However, the sushi chef's behavior towards the staff is often rude and he is frequently heard yelling. If you can overlook that, you will be amazed by the sushi here.
