The taste of boreks and fresh bread are really good.There are few things that the customers must pay attention to if they don't want to be upset:1) Check the expiry dates. If there is no expiry date, don't buy it. I recently noticed that they removed the expiry labels of Balkan Sausages (Sucuk) which I surely know that their expiry dates have passed.2) They randomly put one (or maybe more) yesterday's non-fresh bread in today's fresh bread bag (5 breads in one bag). I understand that they don't want to throw yesterday's bread into trash bin (I don't like wasting either), but instead they can sell them with a discounted price. Why am I badly surprised with stale bread in my weekend breakfast...
A great place for all your bakery , munchies and side dishes needs. I have never seen a store like this. Most of the articles are imported from Eastern Europe Slovenia , Slovakia , Croatia , Bosnia etc. The baker is really nice. He let me try the feta cheese bread which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place if you are looking for articles like spread , pickles , herbs , cooking ingredients etc
A very unique experience for my family trying the eastern European bakery for the first time and they love it. Both savory and sweet are filling and cheap. My brother loves the apple pie so much that he said it is the best apple pie he ever had. This place also has grocery that is fun to check out as well. We bought turkish coffee from there as well.
I love my experiance with them. I spoke with Gordana and Melitsa, lovely customer service, fresh baked Balkan and traditional styles ? ohhhhh yummm. I LOVE this place! The burek is amazing, I buy it frozen and haul it to Victoria by bike ferry just to share with my family that's how good it is! Nana's is one of my top favorite food places in Metro Vancouver; it's the place to go for a hearty meal burek!!
The food is not good it did not taste good at all. We did not eat anything we paid for. we threw them away and its waste of money.
Super friendly staff, great prices (2$ for a candy bar, where can you even find that these days? , and tasty baked goods!
