Nanuet Bar Restaurant

After I grew up with this place in the 70s, I finally had the chance to see it after the renovation during a rare trip to Rockland. Spare for the neon sign outside I would never have recognized it. Very different inside, though they have some mementos (including some hats from the bar). Place was with a long line on a Saturday night, but we sniffed seats at the bar. No more pitchers from Bud – now there are several microbrows. The bartenders were friendly and gracious. They heard the stories a hundred times, but they are happy to hear. Inviting atmosphere, friendly bartender, great craft beer selection, tap and cans, and incredible Italian cuisine. The Rigatoni Bolognese was amazing. Overall, a great little restaurant you need to experience for yourself.

Saturday night. Place was full. Wanted seat in the bar area, but only available table was in the back dining room. It was full and loud. Eating was decent. The service was okay. Very full. The staff did their best. W

This place is always spot on! The food is great and the pizza is amazing...especially the vodka pie. They also have a good selection of beers. Definitely recommend!

This is an excellent hometown restaurant to eat. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Excellent wings and pizza.
