I have cherished memories of this restaurant from my childhood in the 1970s, and recently had the chance to visit after its renovations during a trip to Rockland. The exterior had changed, featuring a new neon sign, but inside it was completely refreshed while still preserving some nostalgic touches like bar hats. Despite a busy Saturday night, we found seats at the bar and discovered a range of microbrews had replaced the old pitchers of Bud. The bartenders were friendly and attentive, happy to listen to our old stories. The menu was tempting, especially the sliders, but having traveled 250 miles for their famous pizza, we were not disappointed. We found out the same person has been making...
The restaurant provides fast and friendly service with reasonable prices and a very nice interior dining area. However, I was not satisfied with my menu choice. The meatball hero was quite disappointing – it consisted of a large toasted hero roll with only 4 small meatballs that were overcooked and dry. There was very little melted cheese and hardly any sauce on the sandwich. The small cup of extra red sauce helped slightly. The best parts of the meal were the extra cost onion rings and the Blue Moon beer. Despite having eaten here several times before, this visit was a major letdown.
First and foremost, let me start by praising the excellent service at this restaurant. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. However, I believe they should put more emphasis on their BBQ and smoked dishes, as that is what truly sets them apart in Blauvelt. While they do offer Italian cuisine, there are already plenty of fantastic Italian restaurants in Nanuet. In my opinion, their smoked and BBQ dishes are unmatched in the tri-state area. It would be great to see them bring this specialty to Nanuet.
Nanuet restaurant is simply the best pizza for me. I've never had a pie anywhere else that is a combination of thin crust and pan pizza. Yes the Hotel is quite similar and delicious, but I find NR to be just a tad thicker with a bit more flavor. Theplace makes a glutton out of me every time! My only quibble is that they used to offer coupons on apps like Groupon that made itmore affordable, but I don't see them anymore. If they brought them back I could give them five stars over and over!

I grew up in Spring Valley and remembered when my parents took me here. Now I am 72 and last night went to the Nanuet Resturant for the first time in decades. Physically the inside has changed but the food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. We werethere a few hours eating and drinking and were not rushed at all. I highly recommend the Nanuet?s Resturant for snacks, pizza ordinner and they serve excellent drinks too!
Cannot praise enough, had a retirement get together fri.7 15 22, arranged it with Kaitlyn on wed 7 13 22, 40 people, Kaitlyn nailed it. Bartenders were spot on, food service was fast, kudos to them. Everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend!Kaitlyn accommodated us last minute and did a Great job. Baileys has an asset and a Gem in Kaitlyn,contact her if you want toplan gathering. Highly recommend
When this place first open it was not bad just a few times my wings were raw inside and once a chicken cutlet was very hard to cut through. I've continued to give it a chance. I just want to say please change the the oil in the flyer more consistently because fish chips should be a golden brown not a dirty brown ashy like look.
Cant go wrong with takeout appetizers and pizzas from Nanuet restaurant!! They?re my go to for a night of crispy, fried goodness, whether I?m staying in or going out. Their menu has all the classics for a pub/bar but also lots of unique offeringsand some fun twists on originals. Reasonably priced and always delicious!
