Visiting Naugles felt like stepping back in time. I'm not certain if all the menu items are exactly the same as before, but the food is still excellent. They offer Cheese Burritos, which are my favorite and hard to find elsewhere. The tacos are fantastic too. While prices are higher than they used to be—like everything these days—the portions still seemed generous. The habanero sauce wasn't very spicy, but it had a smoky and delicious flavor. Plus, there's a lovely patio area!
Had to check the place out after seeing it on Netflix Taco Chronicles. If you’re a foodie and love food history and nostalgia this is definitely a place you need to visit. The tacos are amazing, they’re huge and hit the spot if you’re hungry trust me two will do you just fine! If you love crispy tacos you won’t be disappointed. The service was amazing as well. If you’re in the area it’s a must stop! From H-town with much respect!
I haven't seen one of these in years. The food was plenty and was hot. The cashier was great and unusual for someone who actually know about their businesses. There were several of us reminiscing about the past location and she was knowledgeable on it.It's been a long while to enjoy a meal and staff as well as customers.
Burrito is fine, not authentic, more SoCal surfer flavor. However I'm giving 5-stars bc I used my Groupon, it was a lot of food for the price (I got #8 large burrito combo), self serve soda dispenser so free refills, friendly staff man lady that I interacted with, easy parking, not crowded when I go there 6:45pm Wed. I drove two hours to eat at this place. I was a kid the last time I ate at the naugles in my hometown. It did not disappoint. Almost exactly as I remember it. The manager came out and spoke with us, we reminisced on previous cars owned. I will be back. Thank you. My only regret was I did not get a taco to go.
Additionally, the bathroom had a broken faucet, so the sink was unusable. I also noticed that the counter where customers sit was sticky. I believe this might be due to the type of epoxy used in the finish rather than dirtiness, but it was still a bit off-putting.

I just had the best crispy hardshell taco ever! It had a nice, clean taste without being greasy. The Ortega burger was good as well. The service was excellent! I really enjoyed my experience.
