It was a quiet evening and the host and server, who I later learned was the new management, quickly noticed my interest in Bourbon. We spent the first hour chatting and I learned a lot about Bourbon. They even treated me to a special and rare sensory experience with a particular Bourbon (whose name I'll keep to myself).
Aside from the Bourbon, I also ordered the Fish Tacos and they were amazing! The flavors were well-balanced and delicious. I have been to Nauti Norske before and while it was never bad, I did notice a subtle improvement in the attention to flavor in their menu with the new management.

The spicy chicken sandwich and chip fries were delicious! We also enjoyed the jalapeño cheese curds as an appetizer, which came with a tasty spicy sauce. Despite the rain, we were able to sit outside under a roof with a nearby heater. The service was excellent and very friendly.
It's lovely to sit on their large patio by the river. Food is good and reasonably priced I had 3 fish tacos and fries for $6. They don't have table service; you order your food and drinks at the bar inside and they bring it out to your number, similar to a place like Noodles Co.
Had a **** Mary for starters. Very good with lots of garnish's. I had a small pizza it was very good. My husband had a blank bean burger. He said it was very small and nothing to brag about. We would go back but try other food options.

So bummed over an hour and still no food. Complained 20 minutes ago and still waiting. Normally good food but I won't be back. Had a similar experience last time but wanted to give them an second chance.
The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are fantastic. While it may not appear impressive from the street, it boasts a wonderful patio overlooking the Yahara River in Stoughton.
Terrible Friday evening fish fry. Wait staff (most) were carefree of helping us. Food was marginal at best. New ownership seems to not brought the Nauti Norske level of service.
I love the outdoor seating at this restaurant! The food and service are always excellent. I'm so happy they are open again. The sandwiches and burgers are all delicious.

Don't go to the tavern for seafood. It's no longer the Nauti Norske. Disappointing. I miss that place!
