I believe this café lacks a welcoming atmosphere. I haven't met any locals who visit more than once, as there are better options across the street and on Hampden Road. The food is decent but rather predictable, the coffee is average, and the service can be inconsistent. I've often wondered if it’s operated by Barrett's Bakery just to serve the university crowd. It might be time for a refresh.
Nice little cafe, its a good place if you just want a quick lunch. there isnt a kitchen out the back but in the mornings you see them bring in fresh food/pastries. coffee is nice. reasonably priced, most of the menu is well priced only a few things are a little expensiveMost the time the service is alright, only gets a little slow if theyre very busyi recommend the bacon brie and cranberry
This place is great for lunch. The food is tasty, and the service is quite quick. However, I no longer get my coffee here, as I believe there are better options nearby, such as The Tenth State and Rocket Fuel, which are just across the road and around the corner. My only complaint is that the menu doesn’t change much. It would be nice to see a bit more variety from day to day.
Cute. I bought a sandwich and a coffee for around $8 which I was impressed with, it's been a while since I went to a café that doesn't charge $8 for the sandwich alone (often more). Yummy Quiche!. I work nearby and always head to Neds at lunchtime for a roll or panini but today I tried a slice of quiche. It was SO tasty. Flakey pastry (not heavy at all), great selction of veggies and really tasty cheese. The girls are always very friendly as well!
nice little local café.<br/ <br/ I had breakfast here on Friday and it is what busy.<br/ <br/ Coffee was ok and service was adequate.<br/ <br/ I think they may simply get their breads and pastries from Barrett's just a door or two up the road. Fresh and a great idea.
I love, love, love Ned 's! This is my 'local ' for the daily coffee run at work. The coffee is fantastic, and the girls are lovely and have a rapport with the 'regulars '. Great coffee and friendly conversation is always a nice start to the workday.

Came here for the first time and had a lovely pastrami and sauerkraut tart this morning. Service was friendly and the coffee was fine. We will be back.
