We should have known the place was empty when we arrived. We asked for our main meals to be spicy. However it was the blandest Indian meal I have ever eaten. When we complained the waiter said that Paneer Butter Masala was supposed to be bland; but it had no spice at all. My partner’s Aloo Gobi was also spiceless but the sauce tasted old and sweet. The waiter admitted the sauce had been made a long time ago and added to as required. The garlic nan was fine as were the papadums, but for the rest of the meal you wouldn’t really know you’d been in an Indian restaurant. Their excuse: Spanish people don’t like spicy food. Avoid this restaurant if you want authentic Indian cooking.
This was a great find for authentic Indian food, and, by far, our favorite while in Pontevedra. With a variety of choices on its menu, our favorites consisted of chicken tandoori, chana masala, coconat rice, biriyanes, pashwiri nan, and, especially, the lamb tikka shaslic arriving at our table sizzling, aromatic with Indian spices, and so good! Add a glass of wine and you are set for a fine dining experience.
From the outside the restaurant looks ok but the place is dirty. The food was dreadful and cold. The toilet was smelly and unclean. The tap was broken and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I was unable to pay by debit card and they insisted on cash only. Withdrawing cash costs more money. I felt unfairly treated.
the food is very rich, I recommend ordering the special of the house which is a variety of different entrances. have many vegetarian options, the onion bass are amazing. the waiters are very attentive and friendly. I've gone four times and I'll follow.
