What to say?? NEBCO brews some of the best beer in the state, let alone New England... hence the name. In their airy, light-filled taproom, you can enjoy 7 or 16 oz draft pours of about two dozen beers; fill up your growlers with many of the same (glass growlers are also for sale), and purchase cans to go. Side note: 12 oz pours are served for the higher ABV selections. NEBCO's outstanding beer is complemented by their welcoming, knowledgeable staff. The taproom ambiance is enhanced by a rotating musical selection that always seems to strike the right vibe for the day. Throw in a retro arcade console and some funky local art, and you have a greater New Haven gem of the highest magnitude.
This restaurant is simply fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed, the beer selection is top-notch, and they offer unique cider and mixed drink options that I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff is extremely friendly, and there is both outdoor and indoor seating available. It's a great spot to spend a few hours chatting with friends. The music and acoustics create a pleasant ambience without being too loud. Another bonus is that there are no rowdy children running around. After our visit, we usually head over to explore the New Haven pizza scene, but they also have tasty rotating food trucks on site.
I can't believe I waited so long to go to this place! The atmosphere, beer, staff, and food truck were all amazing. We moved away from the area 6 years ago and returned for Thanksgiving to visit family. We decided to meet up with a friend at this brewery and it was a fantastic choice. Not only did they have great beer, but they also had bottled birch beer and root beer for the kids. The bartenders were friendly and engaging, and we had a wonderful experience. Thank you New England Brewing for making us feel so welcome. If you haven't been here yet, you need to go now!
New England Brewing Company (NEBCO) has been around for many years now. Since the first time I’ve tried their beer almost a decade ago through now I have never been disappointed. They make great pale ales and IPAs. I love G Bot, fuzzy baby ducks, supernaut, double fuzzy baby ducks, sea hag and the list goes on and on. While you are in Woodbridge Connecticut, you must take the 15 minute drive to New Haven and scarf down either Sally’s, Frank Pepe’s or Modern Apizza. You will not be disappointed. It's so cool to see how Nebco has developed over the years. There was a point in time when they should have been on everyone's list of top breweries. They way the indoor space has developed makes it more appealing to hang out at too. Unfortunately, I feel like they are complacent with their position in the industry stopped pushing things forward regarding their beer. Still strong overall!
Surprisingly disappointing. The beer is fine, they sell all over the state so there weren’t any shockers, the outdoor area was the biggest let down. Just some high tops in a parking lot. No effort was put into making their outdoor space special, like most breweries do. Just bland, boring and leaving so much more to be desired.
I went to this restaurant with some friends in early August. They allow you to bring your own picnic, which is a great perk. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly, offering helpful suggestions. I was in the mood for a less hoppy IPA that day, so the Fuzzy Baby Ducks was the perfect choice for me.
