Waitstaff were NOT wearing masks Looked clean, but the food is mediocre at best and lacks any sort of creativity. Just basic foods, which I can make at home, there 's no WOW factor here. They have a pastry counter but in my opinion they looked store bought to me, except maybe the muffins. I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap which contained more lettuce than chicken and caesar dressing was far from caesar dressing, a tiny bag of chips and a pickle for $7.99, not a great value. Have been here many times but today will be the last. The building is old, mold on the ceiling. Upon entering the whole place was hot! We picked a table in the back that was rocking back and forth, the second table was not clean and the particle board was coming up and chipped?.there was food all over under the tables, the butter for the pancakes, 2 were already open in the bowl seeping out. The food was awful compared to previous visits, the pancakes were totally different and not flavorful at all. The waitress did not check up on us too see if I needed a drink refill, I did. Upon leaving the cashier asked about a tip, first we were not going to give one for such poor service but said $2.00...
The reason why I give this restaurant a 5 star is because not only the food is great and always efficient, but if you go online and see the board of health of Citrus County, you will notice that New England pastry and cafe had not a single complaint about bug infestation and dirt and misplace I feel when you want to go into a beautiful relaxing friendly environment, I would always recommend that this place is not just the staff great, but the dishwasher is quite funny.
I had the cook salad. It was a beautiful size, but nothing special. It was also with crackers... what? A beautiful role or a Pita wedge would have been so much better! I'm trying to eat more whole foods and they don't have much to offer. I would recommend adding crispy bacon and avocado and colorful veggies such as fresh peppers and red onion and serving salad on a mixed bed. It would be a much better salad for $10! We've eaten snow birds so we can eat the whole country. The best omelets are served here. Once you have an Omelet in the New England Cafe, there is no comparison. The staff is very friendly. Our favorite server is Lisa. She goes out of her way to make you happy is great! Whatever you get for ants of meals, you will not be disappointed!! We also had lunch there. All food is great!
Nasty food, every time we've been here. My son enjoyed his omelet, but my eggs and potatoes were yuck, and the bacon was burnt. The biscuit was hard in the middle. I've been here numerous times over the years, and if not for my son who likes eating here, I'd never come back.
Great breakfast and lunch! I had an omelette with everything! There were 3 eggs and huge!! Also crispy bacon, yes? Grilled cookies! Fluffy pancakes and grits. Our table was full of food. Very reasonable prices. Wonderful service. A popular place.

Always have great food here, family-oriented, good breakfast. Your adult grilled cheese with bacon is my lunch. People are very friendly and freshly baked treats as you look at yourself are too good to go up!
