This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant. When we arrived, there was only one other table occupied, indicating it wasn’t busy at all. We placed our order, and while some of the food arrived, our noodles were missing, causing the rest of our dishes to get cold as we waited. When we asked the waitress about the noodles, she informed us that they had forgotten to prepare them. At that point, we decided not to wait any longer for the noodles since everything else was already cold. To make matters worse, they had the nerve to charge us for the food we never got to eat. I recently discovered New Moon Restaurant, and it's been a pleasant surprise. Located in the tranquil, picturesque area of San Marino, this spot offers tasty dishes and a good variety on the menu. My favorite is the steamed fish, which has been consistently flavorful and served in generous portions. The dining area inside is relatively small, but I prefer sitting outside on their patio, especially given the peaceful surroundings. However, the service leaves something to be desired; the staff could be more friendly and welcoming. While I would recommend this restaurant for its food quality and freshness, I can't quite endorse it for the service. I hope they can make improvements in that area.
First and last time I'll be visiting here. When we got here there was only one occupied table. Meaning it's not busy. Ordered the food. Some came out but our noodles never did and the food that was already out got cold waiting for the noodles to arrive. Asked waitress about status of noodles and she said they forgot to make them. We decided not to have them since everything else got cold. They have the audacity to charge for the food that we didn't even get to eat.
I had not been to the restaurant in quite some time. I went on 9/8/22 for lunch. The food was not as good as I'd remembered. Their Wor Won Ton soup is tasty but they crowd it with veggies and meat and it is difficult to enjoy the broth. I had the ChowMein with shrimp and chicken. It was light on the shrimp and the flavor. Wow????, we went to lunch this afternoon to New moon restaurant and omg!!! We was so impressive, the food is amazing, I ordered the shrimp chow mein ????DELICIOUS ????, fresh shrimp and very very tasty, decent price, decent portions of noddles, cleanplace and the guys there are very friendly, definitely we are coming back to this place, I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOU LOVECHINESE FOOD!!!!
This restaurant is excellent! Whenever I'm in Pasadena, I make the drive to New Moon. They now serve wine, which is a nice addition. The restaurant itself is small but has a big impact—their Chinese chicken salad and fried rice are both delicious. Everything I've tried here is great. I highly recommend this place!
Terrible Chinese chicken salad. The salad was sitting in watery dressing that sits at the bottom like a pool. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE ANYMORE! Get your own dressing! What a shame. And $20 for this. I love everything from here but the prices are too high andthis salad was worse than terrible.
Had good food here before but today was definitely not any good. 3 dishes had no flavor and I ordered 2 orders of the shrimp Rangoon appetizer.
