My wife and enjoy sti stopping to eat at New News when we go to that part of town. We love the Jalapeño Chicken, Orange Chicken, String Bean Casserole, Chicken w/Mushrooms, Spring Rolls, Egg Drop Soup and a couple of other items on the buffet. Unfortunately, some of the time the kitchen does not produce the same product to put on the buffet. The Jalapeño Chicken often has no juice. The juice really improves the overall flavor of the dish because much of the time the actual Jalapeños are minimal or have been picked out so the juice serves as your source of that spicy flavor and it helps to flavor the other items on your plate adding to their zing. A hidden gem. I've been going here long enough for it to change names a few times. The selection is well varied, and all good. Fried rice lo mein noodles are always on point, and the staple dishes are solid (orange chicken, butter (battered shrimp, dumplings, etc . The beef may be a bit hard to find in the beef broccoli (it was ~a 1:10 ratio today! , but that's par for the course with Chinese buffet offerings managing ingredients costs. Standout dishes include the terriyaki chicken skewers, lemon chicken, and sushi rolls. The dessert cold fruit selection is also better than most; try the macaroons.
Wasn't a lot of selection of hot foods. I was surprised there was no chicken broccoli. Wasn't a lot of meat in the beef broccoli. The staff was SUPER nice, attentive, and caring. I'm pregnant and our waitress caught me fanning myself. She turned the AC down for me after I told her I was okay but she insisted, super sweet. My husband loves seafood and was a huge fan of the crawfish, said the seasoning they used was very good.
Our salon is across the street and is convenient for a nice quick bite. That's not fast food. But is FAST FOOD... get it lol. I like their wings they even cook then fresh for us. And the potatoes are succulent also the greens beans well seasoned. I recommend... and it's clean
