I ordered a takeaway for pick up from this restaurant, and I felt that the person taking my order over the phone wasn't really paying attention. I specifically requested a South Indian sauce and a garlic naan, repeating my order twice. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, they couldn't find my order under my name. After speaking to another staff member and explaining my order again, I was finally given my food, but when I got home and opened the sauce, I discovered it was filled with chicken, which I didn't want. I called to complain, and was told a replacement would be sent out in 20 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes and no sign of my order, I called back only to be told that the deli...
I’ve been a customer for over 20 years, likely, closer to 30. Has always been my ‘go to’ place for a takeaway in Kirkintilloch. I’ve seen some of the more recent reviews and accept that sometimes, places might not get it completely right. That said, I have never had any issues throughout my many years of patronage. My most recent order turned up, delicious as usual and with a complimentary Naan, as I’d forgotten to order any accompaniment. Discounted prices and delivery if you use their own app and just as importantly, a secure online payment system. Used to be a regular here until we had a bad experience. Gave the the benefit of the doubt but, no. Standard of food has dropped. Undercooked Nan bread; burnt on outside, soggy and doughy inside with unpleasant stale, sweaty smell. Curry lacking in flavour with extra hot spice masking lack of depth of ingredients. Very sad to see a place go downhill like this. Why not just make good food and charge a bit more if costs have risen? Don't make customers pay for your lack of interest in good food. We will not be retuning. Wasted my money and will chuck out the remaining food (which we had hoped would be tomorrow's lunch) couldn't face it again.
Quality totally unacceptable, have been using this indians for years and years and has always been the best and now wouldn’t even give my dog it , and a tandoori mix are you having a laugh there’s a tandoori mix and then a BURNT MIX!!!! And you’ve a cheek to charge £15.50 for it , pure disgrace! Don’t know if it’s new owners or what but use have went right down hill And are losing customers who have gave you business for years years but seems to be use don’t give a s**t. WONT BE BACK! We use the New Sahiwal at least 3 times a month but over the past few months the quality has noticeably changed for the worse. To now find that the pizza bases are now 'thin and crispy ' instead of the the standard 'deep pan ' makes for a much less satisfying pizza a lot less toppings/cheese, yet the same premium price. £18 £20 for a couple of thin and crispy pizzas? Hopefully they go back to the original bases.
I'm not sure if there has been a change in management, but the food quality has definitely declined. The pita bread was soggy and the food was unnaturally bright, staining my hands yellow. The salad consisted mainly of onion and the overall taste was too spicy without improving the flavor.
Been a loyal customer of this shop for over 10 years. Quality of the food has noticably gone downhill for some time now. Customer service has also became unacceptable with obnoxious unhelpfull disrespectful girl behind the counter. Will never use the shop again!
