I do not often leave a review of the meal more because I think it is really personal taste, but if a place is quite new and maybe depends on some feedback, which is why I put this full . the workers are eager to. please and attentive, atmosphere friendly and convenient, asking if we were moving in direction log fire was a touch that she had cared about. starter was a pate and pickel both really tasty, so another piece of brot would have been good to not waste the pickel. Small menu and as we were having a late lunch they had run out of fish. Goes to prove good fresh produce is used. One had steak pie another gammon steak and the third roast beef. Food cooked to perfection and more than adequate portions....Would go again. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Went for lunch. Food was really tasty and staff really friendly. Went at noon and it was quiet. I would recommend having fish and chips. The batter is really light and full of flavour. The desserts are to die for. Great quality food and reasonable priced. We will be back for sure.

we had both steak-pie and chips that were beautiful, were not for one wee and glad that it was as good as the last time. it is a beautiful place and julia is so welcoming and nothing is too much annoying for her. we will definitely come back.
Visited a few times and the food is always excellent. Really friendly staff and such a quaint wee pub. The fish and chips is to die for.
