We 've been here a couple of times and the summer rolls, plump with vermicelli, lettuce, mint, prawn and pork are always fresh and tasty, served with a delicious plum sauce. The grilled chicken fillet, fragrant with lemongrass is served with salad and pickles, but on our visit, was missing the homemade fish sauce accompaniment advertised in the menu. <br/ <br/ While the food is nice, be prepared to be slugged for all the 'extras ' rice is $2.50 per serve, and even extra lettuce will set you back $2. I find this a bit miserly, and quickly adds up on the bill. Maybe we should have requested a $2 discount for the missing sauce from our chicken dish!
We ordered Saigon vegeterian crispy crepe and combination wonton soup they add more vegie : . We also had Nha Tranh pork ribs. OMG, its really yummy i forgot to take photo : . My husband really doesnt like much the asian sauce especially hoishin , but he really enjoyed the sauce for rice paper rolls or they call summner roll . Next time, we will order Caramelised prawn and tamarind fish soup. Definitely we will come back.P.S: they also have BYO. And the boss told me that they can make catering for the meeting and organise for small party. Good idea for my birthday
I enjoy dining at Nha Tranh, but there are a few areas they could improve on. My favorite dish is the pho, the broth is flavorful, but the amount of beef could be more generous. The meat is sometimes overcooked and thinly sliced, which affects the overall quality. I suggest they consider adding a pho option with rare beef, meatballs, tripe, and tendon as it's my preferred style and currently not available on their menu. Overall, the food is still good, but there is room for enhancement.
When people join my tours in Cabramatta, they often ask me where to find good Vietnamese food outside of the Little Vietnam areas in Cabramatta and Bankstown. Well, if you're in Sydney's Inner West, I highly recommend checking out Nha Tranh Restaurant in Five Dock. The restaurant has a minimalistic decor and tasteful canvas prints of their menu items. Wonderful Pho!!!!!. I would call it as a 'little Vietnam ' since they have amazing beef noodle soup and it was so good for a rainy day like yesterday. You guy must try that beef noodle soup here.totally agree that the service is as good as the Pho : very warm and friendly.I 'll definitely come back.see you very soon :
