this place is so small, but so full of life. the service was good and I had some of the best brunch ever. I ordered the chilaquiles without the gay and it was some of the best I ever had. they also served homemade jams and broth outside, which is a part of the best jam ever. ambiente: classy diner style service: standard, nothing special, but nothing to complain. we waited about 25 minutes for 3 people, but his is not surprising given the amazing eating. parking: somehow there are free parking directly in front of (but just like 2 places). we parked in a garage a few blocks below. Eat: amazing! will definitely come back here and will recommend it to everyone who wants brunch in dt.
we stay a few days in the city of la and read some reviews on the nickel diner. everything about it has been ours so that we felt we should go! it is by no means a polished, shiny, pretentious food. but the staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. the diner itself is clean, full character and decorations. and eating is excellent and the service exceptional. I had the nickel diner chilaquiles (without the chicharrons as veggie), my wife had the blueberry pancakes and our son had the speck donut. we also had a free biscuit with homemade jam. everything was delicious. definitiw recommended for a hearty breakfast to begin your day
Definitely worth trying. I love this spot for breakfast and I have not been to anywhere cozier I have taken my dog there and have sat outside and and inside. They offer a great variety of food. They also have this great pop tart that usually sells out so you have to go early

Great hash. Sweet spicy way to start a Saturday . I love that the servers come to your table with freshly made donuts that they made. REALLY? Yes Get in here. Once named in the top 10 breakfast haunts in LA. Get your buns in here.
Wonderful local atmosphere! They make homemade poptarts, we have pfirsich, amazing cookies, and they always have crazy specials. I have the duck bacon sausage with deep fried eggs. How are you even?!
The food and service here were exceptional! We had the biscuits and gravy with eggs, hangover helper, and a maple bacon donut!! It was all delicious, coffee was on point and very friendly service!!

Fantastic find in the heart of Los Angeles' Fashion District and very close to downtown. I had a scramble with potatoes, spinach and roasted peppers.
