I believe this bar is under new management and it certainly shows for the better. I had the Irish steak (cooked to perfection) jacket potato and salad it was amazing. Te staff are extremely friendly and chatty. A excellent place for people watching and you never feel hurried definitely recommend 5 stars.
After couple of rather unfortunate local cuisine experiments, only place I returned to. Friendly owner, nice small talk. Lamb shanks, Irish steak... solid, plentiful plate, bull 's eye if hungry. House red wine a bit raw, the 'rose ' was fine.
Great place and the food is fabulous , thanks to Dave and Dean for making us so welcome and great meals after we abandoned our hotel meals , hope you don’t have to wait too long for your next rain Dave x Karen and Margaret

Great fish chips ! The fish was huge, the batter was nice and crunchy. Washed down by a nice cool beer. What more do I need to say?
In a quiet location, a sun trap, fantastic food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Not to be missed
