Nick's Pizza is a true staple to the Ferndale/Hazel Park area. I've been going here for now 15 years and don't see it changing. The pizza is always fantastic. I personally always love the idea of getting just one topping on their pizzas because they are extremely generous with their portions. It's also nice that a pizza place actually consistently cooks their food and you don't have to worry about choosing specific days to order from them. But don't be fooled into thinking only the pizza is good. Their subs and bread are absolutely amazing as well. I can't speak to the wings or some of the other various items, but it's kinda hard to imagine those wouldn't be just as good as the other items....
Food was mediocre. I ordered a thin crust pizza and a round pizza. They both had the same crust. Neither was an actual crispy thin crust. The Alfredo pizza was not good. They used frozen broccoli and it was just all together bad. Ordered wings and they were nasty. It was frozen gordon foods chicken nuggets. For $50 not worth it all. I had high hopes and aesthetically it looks fantastic. But they missed the mark with the actual quality and the accuracy of the order.
Tried Nick's for the first time the other night. Pizza is pretty good, nice soft crust and semi-sweet. My only complaint was the staff being pretty short with me. I didn't even have a chance to sign the receipt and they were already gone. Online ordering is always a nice benefit. All in all, I'll definitely order again.... Maybe it was an off night for the person at the counter.
Best pizza in the area, and great price! Hours are a little disappointing… closing at 9:30 on a Friday night is pretty early for a pizza shop. Everyone at the counter has been very friendly every time I’ve gone don’t know what’s the deal with the guy on the other review that was complaining. Those guys work hard!

I was yelled at on the phone by workers…I guess at 3 o’clock the owner comes in and ill be able to speak to her…highly unlikely anything will be done…if the employees talk like this I couldn’t even imagine the manage…called this place 2 times and was yelled at each time by diferent employees
Food is always good. The only thing I would brush up on is friendliness of counter staff. It feels like the customer is more of an annoyance than anything. This comment is not just from one visit. I have repeatedly been here.
The old man dropped his chewed up toothpick in my pizza. I never went back. I can still feel that toothpick in the back of my mouth when I think about that day.
Nicks has always been the go to pizza place been eating here since 1991 when I moved to Hazel Park
