Dieses Restaurant befindet sich auf dem Hügel auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Mains. Es lohnt sich jedoch, den Weg vom Zentrum Würzburgs zu Fuß zu gehen und die Treppen zur Nikolauskapelle zu erklimmen. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist erstaunlich. Das Essen war köstlich, wir haben Zanderfilet und Schnitzel als Hauptgerichte bestellt. Es schmeckte frisch und war eine verfeinerte Kombination aus Gemüse. Begleitet von einigen regionalen Weinen. Leider könnte das Personal etwas dienstleistungsorientierter sein: Wir sind am Sonntag gegen 20:15 Uhr angekommen, und die meisten Tische mit Blick auf die Terrasse waren leer. Our host company chose this restaurant as our final dinner on our final night wrapping up a whirl-wind (3 day) visit to Germany. I have to say the food, the service and the location was something I wouldn 't have missed. We had beef, chicken and salmon, tagliatelle, salad and as always it seems, fresh loaves of bread. The meal was served buffet style however the desserts were served table side and featured x4 of their little sample sized items. There was a very nice sorbet , a small creme brule, a small chocolate cake/brownie and another small spoonful of a creamy chocolate ..... thing! Don 't know what I would call it, sorry! Nikolaushof is and has always been my favorite place to go and bring friends who come around for good food and the best viewing of the city of Würzburg. You may eat in the fine dining area with its nicely decorated interior or outside for the perfect city view. Just a walking distance beside the restaurant is one of the attractions in Würzburg which is the Käppele. Please google for more info of this attraction. The place could be reached by a bus with information from the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). Enjoy your visit to Würzburg and don't hesitate to ask me for more infos. Würzburg is one of my favorite cities in the world.
We were here to celebrate a bithday. And we really had a great evening. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a prefect evening. We had a 4 course meal and enjoyed every single bite.such nice and friendly staff. They always also asked if we were ready for the next course or would like a little break! We really enjoyed the meal and the wine which the waiter picked out for us! The restaurant itself was really pretty and the views from there are breath taking! Also great place to go in summer. Dieser Standort am Rand des Waldes oberhalb des Käppele ist atemberaubend. Es ist ein anstrengender Aufstieg von der Innenstadt. Der Service, das Essen und der Wein waren ausgezeichnet. Sie stellten Decken zur Verfügung, falls es etwas kühl ist. Dies ist definitiv ein großartiger Ort, um Besucher oder ein Date zu beeindrucken. Ich empfehle, im Voraus anzurufen, um einen Tisch zu reservieren oder zu überprüfen, ob keine private Veranstaltung wie eine Hochzeit stattfindet.
Perhaps a bit difficult to find, but the effort is well worth it. I'd suggest reservations if you want a table with the better views. We dropped in and we missed out on the prime seating, but the waiter did everything possible to provide us with a very good dining experience. The menu offers the full range of good German food and while service was not especially fast, we were there to enjoy the evening, so it was more than acceptable.
This restaurant in Würzburg offers a very nice view of the town and a lovely garden. I was there with friends and we got a good sorbet and very good homemade lemonade. Unfortunately very bad and unfriendly service is the reason of my negative assessment. Price level acceptable.

It was abit tricky to find this place driving up the hill but once it's found, it's simply romantic and breath taking! We had a very nice dinner there before leaving Würzburg for home so that was very memorable :
