I’ve purchased this “chocolate supreme cake” from Publix many times. When I remarked how much it looked like the one I buy from there, the waitress quickly pointed out that their chef used to be a baker at Publix. Incredible experience! The service and food were exceptional. We began our meal with stuffed plantains after chatting with our incredibly friendly server, and I enjoyed a refreshing Sangria while my partner had a Mojito. Both were delicious! I ordered the fried rice with vaca frita, and my husband chose the chicken, bacon, and pineapple cream, paired with the best black beans we've ever tasted. This place was seriously impressive! First off, the mojito was fantastic—perfectly sized and refreshingly delicious. The empanadas were decent but not spectacular. My friend ordered the tamales, and they definitely looked more enticing, and he seemed to really enjoy them. I had the filet mignon, which was quite good and came in a generous portion. We ended our meal with some tres leches cake, which was also delightful. Honestly, considering everything we ordered, it wasn’t overly expensive at all. I'm really glad we chose this place; I believe a 4.6 rating is too low—this deserves at least a 4.7 or 4.8!
What a charming little Cuban restaurant! I really loved the atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. The food was outstanding; we tried the Cuban sandwiches and the fried pork plate, both of which were delicious. If I were to suggest an improvement, it would be to create a better balance in the sandwiches, as the sliced meat was a bit off to one side and could have been larger. Ninni has proven to be a wonderful culinary gem. As soon as we entered this charming, family-friendly restaurant, we felt instantly comfortable and at home. The welcoming and attentive staff treated us like old friends. The service was swift, and the dishes were both delicious and genuine. A special thanks to Jorge for stepping out of his busy kitchen to personally greet and thank each guest at Ninni. We will certainly be returning soon and highly recommend that others come and savor this delightful dining experience for themselves.
