We came on a Sunday morning, they're very busy but you know that's always a good sign. We didn't have to wait to long to be seated as there wasn't any available tables when we got there. Our waitress was very friendly and courteous and it just plain felt like you were talking to a family member. I ordered one of the specials, back bacon with 2 eggs, toast and home fries. My dad ordered a clubhouse sandwich with fries and gravy. Both were absolutely phenomenal and really hit the spot. If you're looking for a good ma pa home cooked breakfast then look no further than Niva's!! You don't be disappointed I can assure you of this. If you are you then have no taste buds in my humble opinion.
I love nivas. I recently visited me after the hearing of Rave reviews and was not disappointed. the personal is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is comfortable with sufficient seating. my breakfast was delicious, I had the big...finn that comes with pancakes, two eggs, sausages, speck or ham and fryed. everything was hot and delicious, and our coffee was immediately refilled. I would recommend coming to niva if they were looking for a large breakfast with friendly service. I look forward to returning and trying the breakfast and lunch they have to offer.
we recently had a wonderful breakfast at niva at the visit of thunder bay. we were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic employees and offered by phone and drinks. we received our meals and found them delicious. the staff always circled to ask if we needed more coffee or anything. the place bounced and it looked like the personal knew his patrons well and often made pleasant exchanges with them. great Finnish pancakes, by the way! We're coming back.
this is one of the places in tbay to try some pancakes. they were great! so great that we finally saved her. almost all patrons are seniors. the personal too. they can say who are tourist. we tried the big finn and the portions were great. very family-oriented restaurant. worth.
The Restaurant is stylish with some charm. The staff is nice and accommodating . The food was real good. I had French toast and homefries. Two Spanish Omelets toast And home fries x2. One Earl Gery tea. The price even without the $5 tip. I still can't believe what I paid!!! .
First experience at Niva's and what a great experience it was. I had the Finnish pancakes with strawberries and sausage. Strawberries were chilled, pancakes were identical across the table, and the sausages were the right kind of breakfast sausage.
Love this place. We stopped here after driving all night when we asked for a place to eat by a local. Absolutely did not disappoint. Also love that they had some Gluten Free options.
great segregation in restaurant. very friendly staff. had the finnish pancakes and they were delicious as possible.
