I absolutely love this place! This little hidden gem is on Old Shell Rd., adjacent from Dew Deop Inn, and let me tell you, this place is amazinggggg!!!! The food is amazing, especially the spinach dip. The spinach dip was the best spinach dip I've ever had. And the bread they have to go with it is sooooo gooooddddddd. The Mid Town Dip is soooo gooodddd as well. The roast beef and the dipping sauce are just perfect!!! The green beans are to die for!!! They are too good. They used to have collard greens that were to die for, but no, the green beans are just too good and perfect!!!! This place is just a vibe. Tonight was my first time trying Nixons ans it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing! I had the cigar sandwich with green beans, and my boyfriend had the meatball sub with potato salad! We ate every bit! It's got an amazing vibe! Our sever was Nikki and she was the absolute best! We will he going back because I want to try everything on the menu! The beer selection was amazing for draft too! Truly impressed!
I went to try out the food primarily and it was good. It wasn't quite as great as some of the reviews made it out to be though. I would order food again here if I went, but I wouldn't go here for the food again.Selection of beer was great! Lots on draft and bartenders were attentive. The staff here were great! It was extremely busy/hectic when we went, but maybe we caught the Sunday lunch rush? My daughters loved both the quesadilla adult grilled cheese. My seared tuna was cooked perfect, but had a bit of a metallic taste for some reason. I'll probably go with a wrap next time around.
Excellent evening at Nixons! The spicy tuna dip hit the spot followed by the adult grilled cheese with tomatoes and bacon. The side-loaded baked potato was excellent as well. Atmosphere was fantastic and we got to play rock n roll bingo. Very fun!
Nice pub-grub type menu items, the big drawback is having a decent sized craft beer list but it's loaded with IPA's and not much else to choose from in other more palatable styles.
Greatest bartenders ever! Food is good, but customer service is real. No fake people here. You are made to feel like you are a regular no matter how often you visit.
