We booked for about 12 people for a 1.00pm lunch. We arrived on time and the table for ready Unfortunately it took nearly an hour for our lunches to come and even then they came out to the table in dribs and drabs so some people were finished before others had started! It is near to where we all now work which I guess is handy. There is a set lunch for $15 which I am told (choice of 3 things) is very good value. I had the eggs and ham which was heavenly devine. Just loved it. We had a couple of vegan people and sadly there was very little for them on the menu. Many of the sauces/condiments etc have things added that Vegans cannot eat. We had lunch there today, the restaurant was busy, we waited at least 15 minutes before our drinks were ordered. In our party of 8 four of us ordered a glass of WHITE wine, the wine was at room temperature, we asked has this come from the fridge, we were told no from the shelf, we then asked for our wine from the fridge, no was the answer all our white wine is from the shelf !!!! we then asked for some ice (I know this is how you ruin white wine !!) we finally gave our food order then waited for 45 minutes for service.On the specials was a "chargrilled skirt steak" one member of out party ordered that meal, she said the meat was so tough - skirt steak is for slow cooking, & braising NOT char...
For people staying at the Abode Apartments Woden, #10 Restaurant and Bar is conveniently located on the ground floor of the building, and very appealing with the cold nights and mornings in Canberra.The service was very good each time we went there at breakfast, dinner and for a mid-evening drink. I try to support local but this place just disappoints. Today there were no other diners, we sat, waited. No one came to take an order. Shortly after 3 other people arrived and sat down and a waiter came and took an order. I had to ask if this same waiter could take our order. He wasn't happy. 25 minutes later our coffee arrived. The coffee was good but 25 minutes when they're not busy is crazy. Real service issues here. We were going to order breakfast but were never offered a menu. Went elsewhere.
I spent six nights in the Abode hotel above No 10, had breakfast every day, lunch once, no dinner, but nightly drinks at the bar. No 10 is a light and airy restaurant with a substantial (heated) outdoor area - a lovely place to dine or spend some time online over coffee!Staff are friendly, service is efficient, food is really good. My only suggestion would be to provide in-house guests with a bit of a discount for breakfast - it isn't cheap and we have few alternatives available to us.
This is located under the Abode Hotel where I often stay. It is convenient and has indoor and outdoor seating. I have eaten both breakfast and dinner here and both are good. The menu is relatively small but the options are good and the meals well executed. I had a delicious poached salmon dish for dinner with good sides and baked eggs in a tomato and bean base for breakfast - yum. The coffee is good too. Waitstaff are a bit hit and miss at breakfast.
We enjoyed breakfast it was delicious- I ordered the avocado smash with a poached egg on the side, a very generous serving and egg cooked perfectly. You have to try a fresh Juice cold pressed fresh and the coffee was served quickly. The service was great, fast and efficient- served with a smile. Great place !

In Canberra for work and eating alone, service from staff was brilliant. Friendly, professional and really thoughtful. Food was excellent, nice surroundings and a good selection of excellent local wines. Altogether a great evening.
