We encountered some issues with the online ordering system, so we decided to call in our order instead. After taking three of our orders, we were informed that our group of seven was too large to place an order over the phone. We were advised to order online and then the call was abruptly ended. Since the website was still down, we ended up placing our order in person. Unfortunately, all seven of our meals were made significantly spicier than what we had requested—way more than we expected. The restaurant is decent if you enjoy noodles swimming in sauce, but I found that most of the sauces had a similar flavor.
I fondly remember when this restaurant was fantastic. I actually used to get their food from a cart in Victoria, BC, before they expanded to full-fledged restaurants. Sadly, it has really declined in quality. Now, the boxes mainly consist of starch—whether it's noodles or rice—accompanied by just a bit of sauce, while the vegetables and protein feel more like an afterthought. It's disappointing to see such a great place turn into something so unsatisfactory. Charging $20 for a Drunken Noodle Box that feels like it contains only $3 worth of noodles and a small amount of sauce should be illegal!
To be honest, I was really disappointed with my experience at Noodle Box. I remembered it as a place that served fresh, hot, and most importantly, spicy dishes, where the medium level of spice was just right. However, what I encountered was bland flavors, partially filled boxes, and a complete lack of heat. I don't know what went wrong, but this once-reputable restaurant has slipped from excellent to downright disappointing. I even regretted not choosing McDonald's instead; the spicy mustard for their nuggets would have been more flavorful. (And I'm not exaggerating.)
Additionally, I paid for extra broccoli, but I only found a few florets in my dish. The tofu was also not crispy, which was disappointing. To top it off, my order was packaged in a box instead of the bowl I specified, which has happened a few times now. I won’t be ordering from them again, which is unfortunate because I’ve enjoyed meals from Noodlebox in the past. It seems like there has been a decline in quality and attention to detail. expensive but good taste. ambiance wise looks really nice but it's kind of silent where you can hear people's conversations. not sure if they fixed with background music. it would be nice to get some form of privacy from the people around me.will come back here if there's not a lot of people.
Last Friday I went to this restaurant with some friends and it was such a nice experience. I had heard good opinions about drunken noodle and after trying I can say that they were right! Good price for this food. Highly recommended, I’ll be back soon!
This was honestly the most flavorless meal I've ever had. Even after asking for extra spice and extra sauce, it tasted like nothing. All I got was a bowl of rice noodles with just three pieces of beef.
The noodle-to-veggie ratio could be improved, but overall, I really love this place! Portions are definitely larger in person, but I enjoy their food so much that it doesn't bother me. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Dry pad tai with mainly noodles and nothing else. Egg yolk transparent and undercooked. Egg was green on the underside. Had to throw entire meal away. Disgusting.
