We traveled from Louisiana to South Carolina and were looking for some GOOD food like we are used to back home. Reddit said they had “the best burgers” and they weren’t lying! We also tried the country fried steak, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. Everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The prices were reasonable and there was no wait. They offered a variety of desserts, but we were so stuffed that we took ours to go! I LOVED the interior of the restaurant too! We heard they sell breakfast as well so we will definitely be back to try that before we hit the road again! 10/10 Would definitely recommend!
We were passing through and decided to check out a mom and pop joint. A cool atmosphere, our server was a little forgetful but very friendly. We got the chili cheese fries, with cheese burgers. And the fries are made in-house but are a little bland. Canned cheese, with what looks and tastes like canned chili. I wouldn't recommend that. However, the cheese burgers were a lot better. I was a big fan of the sweet potato fires. Do not get the coleslaw. It tastes like pure mayonnaise. It needs either more vinegar or sugar to make it better. I'm always a big fan of places like these because they are dying and they are worth saving.
They have the best hamburger steak (The Rev) that I have ever eaten. Top that with some gravy, mushrooms and grilled onions and it's out of this world! We had been camping at Jones Gap and had our dog with us so they let us sit at the table outside. Everyone was so sweet. One of the ladies brought our dog a water bowl and the cook brought our food out to us. I had collards and mac cheese for sides and they were wonderful as well. We always visit Northwest Grill when we go camping. I wish we were closer just so we could eat here more often. You locals sure are lucky. Great food, excellent service and nice people!
How in the world this place gets such high ratings I'll never understand. We went there and got three hot dogs. Sounds simple, huh? Two with mustard and chili and one with mayonnaise and chili. Two different people including the cook came to our table three times to clarify our order. I honestly thought we were on a hidden camera show. The food was so so, I would give it a 6. Our waitress was so nice and attentive, as well as everyone else who worked there being very friendly. Unfortunately what we ordered a bologna sandwich and a deviled egg sandwich was not very good.
Some of the best burgers in the upstate in my opinion. Would get this during work some days and it's always been solid food. Filling and delicious.
I had a great experience! The food was delicious and all the staff were friendly! Try the homemade banana pudding!
