My wife and I are from the Lewes area and enjoy the many good restaurants in the area. Recently we decided to branch out of our comfort zone and try other places. On Thursday, July 11th we tried the Northeast Seafood Kitchen and were extremely satisfied. The service exceeded our expectations with Cassidy as our server. First we ordered cocktails that arrived in a few minutes and mixed to perfection. For apps we had the mussels that were made in a most delicious sauce and the corn bread that Cassidy recommended. Our entrees include the sword fish and the grilled salmon that were prepared just right. Unfortunately we had no more room for dessert because I'm sure we would have enjoyed it as muc...
We have been going here for at least 10 years. Always look forward to our summer trips and this meal stop. This time the hostess was snarky and the waitress was not knowledgeable of the menu, she was trying to read the menu as she was telling us the specials and mentioned a drink with the specials that when the bill came was not a special. We had to ask for bread and the food was fair but not as good as our previous visits. When we asked the waitress about the bill we had to go to the bar since that’s where she was socializing. None of the management staff checked in with us. I am disappointed to say we will not be returning.
Northeast is one of our favorite places. We prefer the bar for seating. We had a drink and crab dip. The crab dip was amazing as was the attentive service from Matt. Then came my wedge salad. This used to be my favorite menu item. Last night it was pathetic. I had a tiny ball of lettuce with hardly any dressing. It had a pretty presentation of veggies on top. The person next to me also got the wedge. She received two of the pathetic tiny balls of lettuce and the same amount of dressing. I think the chef kept fixing the item until was broken.
Came here with 18 other ladies to celebrate a birthday in our group.We couldn’t have been more pleased.The menu/drink selection were great,the food delicious and our server Katie V was attentive and friendly.She did a great job of getting everything out together. We dined outside which was very nice. There were four of us. Two dinners were good, two were not. Lobster mac and cheese was not good at all. Zero flavor! Soft shell crabs were good. Tna my was very small and overcooked. Bowl was decent. So a mixed bag for us. Service and drinks were good. I would probably return but would order something different.
We ordered the daily special with the scallops, the salad base is very good sweet and sour source We also ordered the seafood clam bowl RECOMMENDED! clam and shrimps are fresh, not overcooked, perfect I also have to give a shout out to the bread and butter! The bread is super soft!!!!!
