How have I gone so long without going? Yes okay the entrance is a bit, fishy. But the place itself is brilliant. Decore is basic but tidy and clean, perfect for me; you know all your money goes towards food not fancy decorations. Onto the food. It's proper Chinese food, at least the Chinese dishes are. Dumplings are hand made and not just out of a frozen packet, and the noodles also don't taste like they come out of a packets. Best of all it's not been anglicised at all. No more needs to be said. And it's super good value. Service is basic and on the slow side. But food takes time to cook. That's just how it is. Overall 9/10. It's not a wine and dine place. this is a great little Chinese caffe, very popular among the many Chinese students of the city. it is more a caffe than a restaurant, but that is not a bad thing. nottingham and the environment have some of these more authentic Chinese restaurants and this is one of the best. the staff is very friendly and eating came fast. the best dish was a whole Brat eggplant in a sweet and spicy sauce. not quite sure what it means as we get it randomly and we started eating it when they noticed it, so we asked them to add it to the bill. they are also pleased to deliver takeaway containers for leftover, which is good as we have ordered seriously. good portion sizes!
a good Chinese restaurant with many exotic and delicious dishes. would recommend it hongkongers or chinese that move here. they can also get water and refill their cup for free without anyone having to ask for the cup for them. tho some of the prices are quite high, I ordered a dish noodles, which cost 8£ and would have got the same bowl noodles for about 5 6£.
One of my favourite chinese eatery in Notts. A pity it doesn't do delivery. Love its noodles, dragon aubergine and beef brisket! Walking through the aisle to the restaurant feels like I am transported through time to a place out of UK. Try the Dragon Aubergine! this small restaurant in the back of a street is a really cool tasty bite for the taste buds. authentic Chinese cuisine there are many Chinese students who seem to eat here. Note that there is only cash, but there is a money machine right on the road.
The food at this restaurant is beautiful. The sweet and sour fish was delicious, as was the beef in chili oil, although it was a bit too spicy for my taste. The beef was incredibly tender. I would definitely recommend this place, although it could use some heating.
we had the bark briquette and loved her. ask her for a small amount of chili oil as a tasty garnish. the man who served us was very friendly, and they had many advances about sanitiser stations and more.
The restaurant had amazing food and the owners were very friendly, but the entrance alleyway was terrible. However, don't let that discourage you- remember, never judge a book by its cover. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I really enjoy the delicious authentic Chinese food at this small restaurant. It's simple but very enjoyable. I definitely recommend it!
