Our 2nd visit to Nuno's proved to be disappointing. We were seated at the smallest table for 2, which was also inline with the direct sun light piercing through the west window. Even though there were other tables for 2, all larger and more comfortable, we were never offered the opportunity to move. Next to us was a table for 4, that was also in the direct low setting sun. They had to gather around 2 sides of the table to avoid staring into the glaring sun! All the while, what I assume to be the floor manager, seeing all of this, did not make any attempt to make things right for either table. But he knew how to hang out at the bar! No apology, no comped appetizer to show that he was sensitiv...
The place was very noisy on a Sunday at lunch time, but at least the noise was from people having fun. Three of the four in our party really enjoyed the food, though one said his entre was not warm. The 4th person did not like his food because it was too spicy, but he said he would come again to try a different dish. Our waiter, who said he usually works the dinner shift, was quite inattentive. He stood chatting with the cooks and forgot about the things we had asked for (jelly for the toast, salad dressing, salt and pepper, more water the basics). Had a great meal. Portions are a little large, for example the Paella would serve 4 not 2. The cocktails are excellent but very large. Maybe it would be better to make them smaller and charge a little less. My daughter was unable able to finish her drink because of the size. Overall Nuno's is one of our favorite places.
great food, delicious cocktails and one of the best dessert menus. her old fashion came with a “side car” from extra drink. it costs $18 but it was worth it in a lot and taste good. the restaurant has a fantastic service and a nice family feels it.
