The best restaurant. Do not miss it. We went for lunch and the waiter offered to explain the menu in English -a fish stew, beef stew and fried fresh local fish with various vegetables.The food was delicious and the serves very generous. The service was excellent -efficient but not rushed, friendly and the waiter spoke good English. Our meal- tasty soup, delicious main course, coffee and a jug of vino tinto- was E6 each. Understandably this is a very popular restaurant with locals.
It's a really great place to eat. Your menu changes every day. I have the cod. The whole meal costs €6 and it includes bread, soup, main course, drinks (you can also get wine, it is included in the price. I have the white wine) and coffee/tea. I can't recommend this place enough. It was filled with Portuguese. But don't worry, one of the waiters can speak English. Come back!
Sitio pequeñito, comida muy barata y buena. La salchicha no era lo que esperábamos pero es una típica croqueta española de carne de cocido en forma de butifarra, el pescado estaba tierno y bueno y lo mejor el pudding era delicioso. Pedimos 4 platos, jarra vino, agua y Cocacola, un postre por 42€.

My partner and I had a great time at this place, where we went several times during our stay in Viana do Castelo. Highly recommended if you want to eat with locals and if you are looking for fresh, tasty and authentic food. Glad we found it!
Food is delicious but the service is not good. Especially there is a bold old grumpy guy and he is very rude, maybe even racist or misogynist. I had the sausage and the grilled cod fish, they were really tasty, kudos to the chef.
Awesome lunch, soup, bread , choice of one of the 3 daily specials, drink. Server was very excellent. As we speak no Portuguese, his English was perfect.

With a fix daily-menu, the food is really good with big portions and the price is super friendly! Tottally recommend this traditional place!
