Es war der einzige Ort im Dorf, der bis spät in die Nacht geöffnet hatte. Als wir dort ankamen, war das Restaurant voll und wir hatten Glück, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Kellner und wahrscheinlich Besitzer des Lokals, ein Italiener, war sehr offen und sehr freundlich zu den Kunden. Am Abend unserer Ankunft sagte er, er könne nur Pizza oder Spaghetti und Salate kochen, keine Fleischgerichte. Also probierten wir Gigante-Salat, zwei verschiedene Spaghetti-Gerichte von der Speisekarte und Gnocchi al Gorgon, köstlich!!! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, ein spezielles Bier namens Dunkel war sehr erfrischend und schmeckte auch großartig. Wir hatten ein schönes Abendessen, das Essen war typisch italien...
Our family visited while on ski stay at Lungau. I parked car next to restaurant entrance, but was not sure, whether i dont break any local law as restaurant is located in the historical downton of Mauterndorf. We came to restaurant without reservation, but were lucky to get a table. We ordered seafood pizza, prosciutto pizza and seafood pasta. Food quality was ok. We ordered not chilled juice for our daughter, who was cold, without any problem. When we ordered another juice, waiter brought automatically warm juice. Great. We can recommend Sole mio.
Whenever we stay in Mauterndorf, we make sure we have at least two meals in this great restaurant. It is authentic Italian food in an authentic Italian atmosphere. My favourite is penne alla norma! The wines are really good too! If the weather is good - the tables on the square are ideal for watching the world go by - but inside - it is like stepping into another world with the wood panelled rooms full of history. Everyone is so friendly and we are always greeted like old friends. Try it! It opens late afternoon until late!
Our first meal in Mauterndorf was in this restaurent and all of us were satisfied, but on our second visit to the place they charged us for the tab water! which was oddAs we inquiered the answer was we asked for a refiil. for 6 persons one big bottle isn't enough,more over that on our first meal we weren't charged. This caused us not to go there again.
