We had dined at this restaurant many years ago when it was still chintzy with peach chairs, walls and napkins to match! Thankfully, the new owners have updated the décor considerably - it is now modern, clean and inviting with a warm welcome. The restaurant itself is set in old vaulted cellars which is fantastic and on this second visit we were seated in the wine cellar off the main dining room which was great. we had lunch here on the rainy Saturday. the excellent price-performance menu option includes a starter, main course and dessert the choice from the entire menu. service was friendly and efficient. our food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. the amuse beech was aubergine-based... and very tasty. our starter was soup with a glitch and a glitch. my partner said that this court alone was worth the long way from our home to castres. for our main course we had both the fondant of the bark, again beautifully presented and with great love to detail. our chosen dessert was a generous cheese plate. good bottle local wine from the extensive and inexpensive wine list. ô victoria serves...
We went for lunch at this restaurant as it was recommended by another restaurant we were hoping to dine at but they were full.We both chose the €28 three course menu that had a choice of three dishes for each course. We both chose squash soup with a nut oil and the fondant of beef for the first two courses. Desserts were cheese and an assortment of chocolate desserts. A good bottle of wine and coffee and the bill came to €84.The soup was extremely good and the slow cooked beef melted in the mouth. this restaurant deserves an excellent swim! it managed to bring 10 of us to lunch, very short-term, yes we arrived early, 12.00 as this is a busy restaurant, this was a big question. the restaurant is located on the main shopping center, in a parking lot in the direction of the back of the cathedrale. a central position. the owner or manager was very friendly and was very attentive. the choice of food was excellent, and the service was the first price .. if we were here in castres, we would welcome the opportunity to re-enter here. try it if they get a chance, I'm sure they would enjoy it.
We went in here for saturday lunch and chose to sit in the wine vault area.the food was superb, the staff friendly. The table presentation, service and food presentation was Michelin star...The menu de jour had three choices but we were very pleased with our choices. The chef spoke to us and checked we were enjoying our meal .....our plates were empty it was delicious. The restaurant is very close to the market square ...behind the cathedral/church ...inside is very nice...we enjoyed this meal, the best in castres so far ...
This restaurant is a very nice surprise! the atmosphere is very chic and cosy, well furbish and clean; you will be pleased by the excellent food these 2 chefs can cook with fresh ingredients; the presentation of the dishes is just great and you can feel they cooked with hart and passion;We also liked the very friendly and smiley girl who serve us, and the visit of the two chefs at the table asking if you did enjoy! lovely experience to do all over again, as they change the card this week! ;
Classic cuisine in an old monastery wine cellar. Nice and cool on a hot day. Lovely atmosphere, nice tablecloths, glasses and cutlery. The food is generally good although it varies sometimes. Try the set menu lunch.
