I tried the 2 piece fish and prawns and a crab cake. This order comes with fries. I don't know why I only had 1 piece of fish but, I didn't going back to say anything because I waited while my order was being cooked and I was ready to go by the time I received my food. The staff and customer service was very polite and welcoming. My fish was good. My prawns fries were slightly overcooked and nothing really had any seasoning except for the crabcake. It had a little flavor but, it was more breading and seasoning than crab. It was just ok. Not bad, but not great. I'd like to go back and try other items on their menu. Found Ocean Fish Chips on Yelp. Everything was very crispy however it turned into a heavy meal Q U I C K. The fish seemed very fresh. The fish basket (6 strips) were plentiful. The cod strips were large. The red snapper and catfish were good. I liked the fries and ranch too. The grilled oysters were okay, the portion is small. Calamari was also underwhelming too. Popped over here after some shopping and quite happy with that decision. I'm a huge fan of fish and chips and this is the spot to go! I got the clam chowder, calamari and fish and chips. The calamari had more breading than calamari but it was still good. I liked the fish and chips the best with the vinegar and tarter sauce that was given with the order. The fish and chips came with fries too. I recommend getting sides of items instead of the meal since the meals all come with fries. There was quite a lot of food too. Fish is lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. Same goes for the prawns. Onion rings are real breaded onions, not the flaked and formed kind. Only comment I have is that the Cole slaw could have some horseradish added but otherwise everything was perfect. Haven't had fish like this since H Salt Esquire closed. I will definitely return. I'm from out of town and will add this to my must eat places like Togos and Jim Boys.

Came here on a Tuesday evening and so glad we decided to give this spot a try! I've had fish and chips before but not like this! All the items we ordered were really fresh and hot. I liked the clam chowder but it was a little bland imo. It's a small restaurant and there were plenty of tables and seats for us. I would definitely come back if I'm in that area.
Ocean fish and chips know how to cook some Fish! The batter was cooked perfectly. It was crunchy paired with crisp french fries. I have been looking for a solid fish and chips place and this is the spot. I recommend the 2 fish or 3 fish combo!!!!Food: 5/5
I stop in to enjoy their fish and prawns special each and every time I'm in Sacramento. The absolute best I've had in California! They have never disappointed on food quality or service. I would highly recommend if you are considering.
