Had a 50th birthday here and we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the deluxe banquet and found with 8 people we had at the table the portion size would have been best suited for 4 people. We had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive as did other people around the Restaraunt. We felt sorry for everyone else in the restaurant having to wait over an hr for food. We complained about the food and they sent us home with a take away lemon chicken. We were in the restaurant for over 3.5hrs waiting for our overall meal. My husband and I had heard a few positive reviews about this venue. We dined here this evening and ordered the Banquet for two. We started with a drink, my glass of Reisling was served warm. Our waiter assured me the bottle had been refrigerated all day. In any case they offered an ice cube which I declined. Our food arrived one by one. The first dish was two bread/butter size plates with meat. I could forgive the lack of presentation but the flavours were indescribable leaving an odd after taste. We don't eat a lot of Chinese so do research reviews before we do. After reading a couple on here we almost did not go here, we have been before and always been very happy. We thought perhaps the owners had changed again since we last went, however we decided to give it a go knowing"you can't please everyone".To out pleasant surprise it was still the people that were there the last time we went, which not that long ago to be honest, friendly greeting as per usual and drink orders taken straight away.The food was great, we all finished our plates with a struggle as the portions were very generous with plenty of meat. nice friendly atmospheremost of the dishes we have personally tried since it changed ownership have been delicious.Our favourites are Salt and Pepper Squid, Sizzling Mongolian Lamb, Garlic Prawns and Satay Fillet Steak.Their Dim Sims are awesome we have them every time we go

Came here for a birthday and the food was great, service good and prices not terribly expensive as far as Chinese food goes. The duck was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate and had LOTS of leftovers, except that the rice was a bit underdone.
This place is just great. The lady that works here is wonderful. Consistently good food everytime. You get a lot for your money. The hot and sour soup is one of the best I've had. Never been let down by Ocean Garden, the best down in the southern land.
Good food. Good service. Good price. Thank goodness we have one decent Chinese restaurant down south. So glad they're back where they should be.
