I want to start by mentioning that I’m from Houston, so my taste preferences might be a bit different. Unfortunately, the oxtails with rice and peas I ordered were disappointing. The oxtails had a rubbery texture, and the rice and peas lacked sufficient seasoning. I even suggested that they try Cool Runnings in Houston before I tasted their food. I truly believe they could benefit from some improvement in their dishes. On a positive note, I really appreciated the excellent customer service and promptness. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, which was great. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations.

This restaurant is deserving of five stars all the way to the moon! I just enjoyed the best jerk chicken on the planet, paired with beans and rice, plantains, cabbage, and greens. My taste buds are absolutely thrilled! This family-run gem is truly special. The food is homemade, and the owner is a delightful elderly lady. I absolutely adore this place!

I dined here for the first time and was truly impressed. The oxtail was exceptionally tender, and the cabbage was equally delicious. The macaroni had a nice spice to it and was far from bland. I will definitely come back for the jerk chicken next time. Food: 5/5

The food here is always amazing and truly authentic. It's my favorite spot in California. The beef patties and mac and cheese are absolutely delicious, and the rice and peas are fantastic too. Everything is consistently tasty!
