we had such a great night when we first came back in the next night. the location was great, right at the boardwalk. the eating was delicious we tried the Australian antipasto, the salt and native pepperleaf crocodile, the morganbury bark stripes lunge, and the lamb rump with cockerbsen tabbouleh and they were all delicious. but what returned to us was the amazing list of cocktails and locally fed ghosts. the standout drink was the old fashioned with local mt uncle whisky and tormented orange, which was threaded for 3 months. it was excellent. I highly recommend ochre and would love the opportunity to return to dinner after cairns.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant where fresh fish caught on a charter was prepared and served to perfection. I spoke with the chef about how the dishes were made and was extremely impressed with the outcome. I tried three different dishes - sashimi, tempura, and grilled fish - and each one was expertly presented and incredibly delicious. At just $45 per person, it was an incredible value for the quality of food. I would have gladly paid $100 per person for the same meal. This was truly one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted.
This restaurant in Cairns is amazing. It is the best restaurant in the city. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I visited on December 31st and even though the restaurant was busy, our waiter took good care of us, serving our drinks and food quickly. The prices are fantastic for the quality of the food and drinks. I would recommend this place to everyone, as it is a must-visit in Cairns. The view around the restaurant is beautiful as well.

I love to dine in here so much! Food is always fresh, decent portion and cook and seasoned perfectly. Drink selection and cocktail is great. Waiters and bartender is professional and friendly. My favorite is beef tenderloin and mango madness. Beef was cooked perfectly and cheesecake was not too sweet which is great. I hope seafood platter back on the menu in the future!
we had a great experience here for a very busy night, but well treated. did not get the names of our waiter, but he was great! and a big Abba fan, tattoo even committed. eating was good and the variety great, many options to fit all. great location and would highly recommend, especially if they are served by abba man
As soon as I found out about this place I just knew I had to check it out. The food was absolutely delicious, using Australian native/bush tucker ingredients to create a truly authentic Australian eating experience! The staff were so wonderful and inviting. I definitely will be going back again.
