I had a positive experience during my first and second visits to this restaurant, but my third visit on Sunday morning was disappointing. The cleanliness of the place was a big issue; it wasn’t very busy, being early in the day, yet the restaurant appeared neglected. The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped or swept in days, and the windows were quite dirty. I sat in the dining area, where the tables had dirty water glasses, and the napkins didn’t look fresh either. If they’re going to set the tables, they really need to ensure the glasses are clean. On the plus side, the food was decent, and the service was good.
I've written about five reviews that somehow disappeared, so here I am again, but without any pictures! The laundry card turns, so if they are particular about certain types of cheese, make sure to ask in advance. However, we really love the laundry board! The drinks are delicious, and the service is fantastic—every time we visit, we feel like regulars. The food is great, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. The terrace is lovely on summer nights, and they have heating, making it pet-friendly all year round, which is a wonderful bonus!
I've written like five reviews that somehow disappear and so here we are yet again but w no pics! The charcuterie board is rotating so if you're picky on certain cheeses, ask ahead of time but we LOVE the charcuterie board. Drinks are tasty, serviceis FANTASTIC (and every single time we are treated so well as if we were weekly regulars), the food is great and there's not abad seat in the house. The patio is nice on summer nights and there are heaters too so it's pet friendly year around which is anice plus!
Food was just ok, however the price for the meals was well above the food we got. The seafood pasta was lacking seafood and they had to discount the dish, the Halibut which was priced at $40.00 and includes some vegetable's which were the best part of the meal because the Halibut was over cooked, so dry. Ordered a glass of wine to with the dinner and after waiting had to go inside and ask to have it brought out. Would not recommend this place for a gourmet meal, felt like we were at a chain restaurant.
The calamari were the tiniest portions I've ever encountered, both in size and quantity, but they were tasty. However, I don't think they were worth the $16 price tag. The fish and chips, on the other hand, were fantastic. Unfortunately, the coleslaw was the worst I’ve ever had; it tasted like old, pre-packaged slaw. It was also disappointing that there were no pancakes available on Wednesday. On a positive note, the service was excellent!
We stopped by for brunch on Sunday. We were seated right away outside on the patio. Then we were forgotten about. No one came over to our table or even looked our way. We watched 4 other tables get seated. When they started to take their order we decided to leave and eat somewhere else. Super disappointed. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. It will be a while before we try them again.
Thursday and they had Clam Chowder, that said, we were let down. It was very good potato soup(can you believe too much bacon?)Slow cooked tri-tip sandwich (French dip) no complaints, very very good.Fish and chips above average.Atmosphere great, service 12 on a 1-10 scale.Just wish there was more knowledge on the history of the building.
eating was good, but a little expensive. I could have gone to texas roadhouse and got a better steak for less money. the atmosphere was nice, but quite resign. the menu might be a little bigger.
Delicious dinner and drinks. Perfect spot for date night.
