If you are looking for anything resembling real Japanese food, the best options in Bilbao are Kuma (on the fancy pricey/overpriced side) and Oh Taku, both of the same team. Here you can get a yummy ramen at an affordable price. The selection of beer could be easily improved by including some of the main good Japanese beers that are just missing. I enjoyed the Miso Tantanmen and the Maze soba is an interesting experience you may remember. Ramen soups are only slightly adapted by the appearance of some local ingredients. It is not quite up to the standards of the Hokkaido Ramen Santouka you can get in the States, but it is better than many of the ramen you can get in Spain e.g. Paris. It would...
My mom and I were on the lookout for an East Asian restaurant and decided to try this restaurant out. We ordered the maze soba and a tofu salad. When we realized the maze soba was dry noodles we asked if we could get a small miso soup on the side but they were unable to be flexible. The service was alright, but our waitress was not that polite, and although the noodles were good, they weren't outstanding. I think 11.50 € was a bit pricey for the noodles (the portion and the quality). Overall, good experience but probably won't go back.
