I've been hearing loads about how oishii ramen truly is oishii and that it's the best you can get outside of Japan...is that a prank? We were in the hood one Saturday and thought we'd give it a try given the rave reviews. There was a noticeable line outside the shop that we realized was due to how small the place was which was not an issue since it moved pretty quick but the queueing system was a little confusing for first timers or people who don't have a habit of reading pieces of paper pasted on windows.I had the miso ramen which was apparently one of the most popular. Food was served quickly but the bowls were just put in front of you in any random direction unlike what they do in Japan....
My partner and I went here when it had just been opened for about a week. Stood in line for an hour, were told that we wouldn't get seated until much later so we put our name down and went away to do other errands. Came back about an hour later, had to wait another 40 minutes... We didn't mind because this place was new and had heard so much about it, plus a line that big had to be a good sign, right? Anyway, we were finally seated, chose two different ramens as well as gyoza and takoyaki. The ramen was okay, nothing to rave about. They had forgot about the gyoza and we didn't get it until we asked about it later on. The staff were really stressed (obviously) and it was difficult to ask them...
I wanted to go try Oishii Ramen for a while. Finally, I am going to be in the area to get some Asian grocery. I got to the restaurant at 12:50pm there was a massive queue outside. Hence, we left our name on the book and the girl at the counter told us if there is table available she will ring us.I went to the Asian grocer to get a few items and went back to Oishii Ramen to wait outside until they called us in. The ambience of the restaurant was casual. I order the spicy ramen and Simo had the udon chicken. I would say that I had better ramen. The spicy ramen and the udon chicken is flavoursome. I wouldn’t return to this joint anytime soon as I had better Ramen.
We went here on a Saturday just before 1pm and we didn't get to sit down until before 2pm. The queue can be really long especially during lunch time as they are only open until 3pm, no dinner. The place is really very small so it can be challenging for big groups. There were 7 of us and decided to split 4 and 3 so we can sit down sooner. Go here while you're still not very hungry as the queue can be quite long. We ordered the Shoyu Ramen for $11.90 and it was quite filling. My 6-year old son enjoyed the food too but it was a bit too much for him. The shoyu ramen was good but it was better when I made it spicier.

Sunday everyday is Korean style food. What my family and I order most often is chicken karaage. (Korean style fried chicken) Crispy and crunchy. Order very fast . (previously via phone for take away)
Delicious but you need to expect a long queue. We arrived 11:30am and took the last two seats. They provide a few chairs for the queue outside.
Some great ramen is hiding out in these suburbs - you will probably have to line up but the hours are posted up so read carefully.
A small place but their ramen and gyoza are quite good. During lunch might have to queue and share table but worth to try.

We came here yesterday but there were LOTS of people waiting outside so we decided to eat else where.
Arriving at 11.30am, I was surprised that there was already a line formed out the front.
