I am a huge fan of poke bowls. After a 3 hour hike we were all starving, and I made it a point to have our craving satisfied here due to great reviews, despite a longer drive than other options. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed unanimously. I think we were spoiled back home in PA where we were used to superb poke bowl offerings at Hawaii Poke Freshido. Okie Pokii's mix ins and toppings are more ordinary and less exotic*, protein is one scoop less for the same price, and the container is one size smaller. This restaurant is a fantastic spot for Poke near Rutgers University. The fish is consistently fresh and high quality. The bowls are generously sized and bursting with flavor. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. The atmosphere inside is welcoming and conducive to studying, with ample seating available. The bathrooms are also well-maintained. While the staff are friendly, I usually opt for self-service ordering. The drinks are tasty, although the tapioca could be improved. Overall, the dine-in experience receives top marks for food, service, and atmosphere. Recommended dishes include the House Special Poke Bowl and Sushi Burrito. Price per person ranges from $10 to $20.
I loved how they had the stands and layout of the restaurant. You get to choose what you want and not with the paper they have on the window and can make your food vegetarian, vegan or regular as you like. It also allows people with food restrictions to be able to eat a good meal outside of home, which at this moment is what I needed. The food was amazing and so we are the drinks, I come back when I visit this area again!!!
This place is so good! I was in the area for work and it was time for lunch. Saw this place in downtown Highland Park and decided to stop in. You can customize your own Poke bowl but I decided to go with their House Special bowl. Did not disappoint. It was so good! I also ordered a bubble tea and it was delicious as well. Service was good, food is fresh, and place is very clean. I stop in every time I?m in the area now.
I have been ordering food from this restaurant for the past two years, and it has never let me down. The dishes are always delicious and fresh, and they never fail to make my evening. I bring all of my friends here, and they all love it as well. Even though I am a vegetarian, I never have to worry about not having tofu options. I highly recommend this place!
Amazing price, amazing sauces, and amazing staff. All around delicious and affordable poke with all the toppings you could wish for. Very high quality and as a student I will be back very often.
This is my favorite place to get Poke Bowls. Really nice atmosphere in the café, and the food never disappoints. I go here at least once a month, and the quality is consistently fresh.
Had a poke bowl with spicy salmon, tofu, and shrimp. Everything tasted very good and fresh. Pretty great for the price. Would definitely recommend this place and would come again!
I ordered the Sushi Burrito individually and it was delicious, filling, reasonably priced, and beautifully presented.
