I loved this place! The first thing that hits you is the smell of the smoker out back. AMAZING. The next is the prices that you cannot beat. It’s probably the cheapest I’ve seen, best bang for your buck. The pulled pork sandwich and the vinegar based bbq sauce was INCREDIBLE. The macaroni and cheese was perfect, and the collard greens were so good I could have DRANK the juice. This is one of the best BBQ places I’ve been to and the closest to some of my favorites in Nashville. The atmosphere is low key and we chose to sit outside. I drove down the road and made a quick turn into this place for a simple bite of bbq. only a small disclaimer, the soße here is not the best vinegar base sauce I had, so I'm glad it was on the side. I think everything had too much edgy in it. Perhaps it is to cut the natural saltiness of the pig, not safe, but it is not my cup tee. my order: I have the 3 ribbed plate with Brunswick stew, coleslaw and broth. the ribs were tender and are made with some of the sauce. the koleslawin was too vinegary for my lust. brunswick had too much edgy for my lust. overall was not the best bbq I had, but was not so bad. Excellent service in a well kept space. The economical price of a meal here makes it worth multiple visits. The pulled pork sandwich was good. The pork itself was very tender and seasoned nicely. The bun I feel could improve as it isn't up to the task of holding all of the juices and sauce. The barbecue sauce is nice and vinegar-y with flavors of paprika, onion and a bit of spiciness. The coleslaw is excellent. Overall I had a very pleasant experience.
I ordered delivery for the first time and I have to say, these are the best ribs I've had in a decade. I will definitely be ordering again! This restaurant has a classic barbecue vibe. I ordered a pork plate that came with coleslaw and collard greens. The pulled pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. However, I found the vinegar-based sauce to be a bit too sweet for my taste. On the other hand, both the collard greens and coleslaw were excellent.
When I evaluate the food and service here, it's important to understand that I'm rating it based on its own merits. This is a barbecue joint that prioritizes food. The dishes are delicious, so be sure to try the combo platter with ribs and Brunswick stew. Arrive before noon if you want to avoid the crowds!
Eating is always good. some of the best bbq near the city, we typically drive from midtown to dinner when we come here. would recommend the mac n' cheese. a thought, I wish they had a homemade or fresh limonade to go with their ingenious sweet tea!
that was my first visit, beautiful place. had the bbq plate, it was all really good. I wasn't a fan of the Bbq sauce, but, pork didn't even need sauce, collar were at points, and the one-pot was amazing. I'm sure I'll be back as good as this visit Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
It's cheap, tasty, and fast. You can't find a $3.25 sandwich anywhere around here except this place.
