We drove past this place numerous times but never entered. Yesterday we went to the Old Canal Inn for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The Inn has been refurbished but still contain what appears to be a lot of the original decor from the 1930's including an old public telephone booth in the corner. The small dining room opposite the bar even has a has a shuffleboard setup. We ordered lunch and were amazed at both the quantity and quality of the food as well as the excellent service. The greens in the Chicken Caeser salad were very fresh and the chicken was grilled. The hamburger was cooked as requested and the French Fries were taken right from the fryer no sitting under a heat lamp. The...
This has been on my reading list for years and I was really excited to try it. When I walked in the little bar, I enjoyed the little bar. Had a cool mood. Unfortunately, we just liked it. I tried to order a drink and they were from a few alcohols on their list. No biggie. We ordered the French onion soup. It wasn't good at all. I couldn't even finish it, tasted fat and tasteless. I tried her burger and I had a stomachache. Sad to say the food here was not great and the prices were a little steep for a local diving bar. I was disappointed when I left.
If your somebody like me and you love ghost stories you will want to come here for the legend of the death seat, where supposedly two guys fought over a seat at the bar and they both wound up dying soon after. Or if your not you will still want to come for the great tap beer selection, the great wings, and the friendly staff. Either way it's a hauntingly good time.

Bartender was ingenious who have a wild over all the place beer selection and the burgers and wings definitely go again
