After waiting an hour to be seated and told it would also be an hour wait for food at another restaurant, we decided to try OLG out. We had a party of five and was seated immediately. I wish I could remember our waiter name , he so friendly also very attentive. I got the fried chicken which was freshly cooked and seasoned , Mac n cheese which was also very good , the cabbages were cooked nicely but I was not a fan of the seasoning, I took two bites and gave the rest away. Ialso had a alcoholic drink ,that was pretty good and left me with a slight buzz. OLG far exceeded my expectations. We arrived promptly at 12pm for our 12pm reservations and was seated in less than 5 minutes. Cam, our waiter, immediately came over introduced himself and took our drink orders. Once he returned with our drinks, he offered to take our food order. He was well mannered and very attentive. In 21 minutes (yes I timed it) he brought our meal. Aunt Berthas entree was good! Cornbread, Mac n cheese, greens, and fried chicken awesome. This was the epitome of southern food and southern dining. The ambiance of the restaurant modern cottage vibes with southern charm. I wish there was an OLG in Dallas, Tx. This was a great place to eat! I had the catfish and the collard greens with macaroni and cheese, and it was well worth it! The food is quite expensive, and there is an 18% fee that they add to the bill, which is alarming, so be prepared. The atmosphere had a pretty good vibe, but I felt like it was missing something; I just couldn?t put my finger on it. The bathroom toilet was broken as well as the trashcan, so there were some minor things that they could do to spruce itup, but the staff was friendly, and our waitress was very kind.
OLG is more than just a restaurant, it 's an experience. Expect to wait for a table because everyone seems to know how good this place is and they don 't mind waiting for perfection. If you 're lucky like we were, you might even bump into one of the gang members. But even if you only get to enjoy just the food, you 'll love it. I recommend the deep fried deviled eggs and the fried green tomatoes. Everything tasted like our own grandmothers made it ... with love.

OLG needs to improve their customer service as we waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers and never received the cornbread we ordered. Despite asking our waitress multiple times, the cornbread never came out even though she assured us it would be out "soon". The chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and French toast were decent, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the poor service. We do not plan to return.
The parking is weird and im not fan of the stairs but once you get in you are greeted and immediately seated. The waitress was very polite, accommodating and patient. Got the grilled lamb and it was amazing. For appetizers got the wings.. it's the sauce and ranch for me. The ambience was a chill at a family gathering or barbecue vibe. Lots of laughter and chattering.
Service was absolutely great; the food was not. We order salmon bites and they tasted like they cooked it the day before and reheated them in the microwave. Greens on point; greenbeans oily. Fried chicken was bland, ribs had good flavor but could have been a bit more tender. Baked chicken was cold. This is not a place I recommend. ????
The wait for our table was not bad at all. However the wait for the food was very long. The sweet tea was not good. I was shocked at that. The food was great and it was hot when we received it. Our server was not good at all. No personality!!!

Old Lady Gang has great southern food selection and drink selection! I enjoyed the fish and grits and my drink. The space is quite close together but overall I enjoyed the experience.
Food and service was great ! I would recommend to all of my friends !
