I love old Miami, I try to visit at least once every time I come to Detroit. This time we had just gotten done DJing at another spot and we rushed over to see if we could set up real quick to continue the vibes. Regrettably they didn’t let us do that, but it’s always a good time when you bring a large group of friends. This time around I think we had close to 20 people in our group, sat and drank in the backyard for an hour or so. There’s so much space, so much to do, and they have a pretty decent selection of ciders.
I really enjoy this spot when the weather is nice. The backyard is spacious and feels like a secret oasis right in the heart of Detroit. The bartenders are straightforward, and the clientele is quite diverse in age and appearance. I haven't spent time inside, but it seems quite large as well. It has a vibe reminiscent of a place where you might drop off an old couch, but in a positive way. There’s no hookup atmosphere here—just folks relaxing and having a good time.
If you want to know Detroit, The Old Miami is one of your stops. It still hosts Detroit's local music scene with a great atmosphere, including a backyard to give you a breather from great intense loa music. As good as it gets.

A unique, funky five bar in the middle of detroit. 2 stars for the bartender who really wasn't interested in being there. He turned what could have been 5 stars in to 2
Step inside for a unique atmosphere where you can enjoy playing darts and snooker. It's a great place to have a good time!
Awesome old school bar with friendly patrons, great pool table and good service. Don't miss it.
