there was a group of about 11 of us. after the order of coffee, we realized that we order a double shot as it came like hot milk. the breakfast menu is good to read. but when the foot was served, I was so appalled to the one. display and taste. there were 2 chopped eggs on hard sourdough, then a portion tomato on the side. it looked shocking. I didn't want to make an upswing on the day as it was my sister 60th birthday, but I never had such a bad experience with breakfast. everyone complained, their toast sat there since a hard time in the kitchen, fried eggs were cold and the presentation shocking. I wouldn't recommend that, and yes, the natives are biased to read the comments below.
An industrial design aesthetic sets the ambiance. Stripped back brick walls meet concrete floors meets quirky light shades on suspended cables meets a quality speaker system. In this relatively quiet pocket of upmarket Brighton the place was buzzing when we dropped by for a Saturday...breakfast. My wife and I selected the specials. Hers a chilly infused omelette. Mine a more substantial spread of bacon, chipolatas, eggs, spinach, tomato, relish, toast. Both excellent. The quality of the coffee amply confirmed by the scores of passing walkers, tradies, busy parents grabbing take aways and rushing on. Good on the taste buds. Good on the eye!
... I love this cafe and feel so very lucky to live so close!! The service is always so friendly, the coffee is fab (I get takeaways every morning but also linger over lunch coffee with friends from time to time and the food...sensational. The toasted turkish/pide sandwiches are delicious, and my daughter particularly loves the sparkly cupcakes : Book a table for a larger breakfast group as it gets very busy in the mornings. Do yourself a favour and pay our little village gem a visit it's well worth it, I promise!
we were regularly in this beautiful caffe, no more. the blt came with 2 very small pieces tasteless speck, on the focaccia brot (bread size of a 50c coin), limp salate, tasteless tomato. the Blueberry smoothie was weak in taste. when I have relied on whether the facility was under new management, answer no. I then asked the food quality seems to go down and explained my dish and drink. the personal was very unchalant to the whole. out there is huge competition, lift her game. a charming caffe in hampton that I go on the way to work when I am on business trip and stays in brighton. very popular for coffee on the morning, with most people who take it away for. open in the morning at 6:30 a.m., they have beautiful pastries and another from the usual breakfast menu. I tried her French toast and I loved it.
