Stopped at the start of New Year's eve. We were lucky to get in quickly as it was busy. We had the wedding soup which was excellent, a house salad (more substantial and varied than most) and each had a different special. Husband had the parmesan crusted halibut and I had the blackened mahi mahi. Both entrees and their accompaniments were excellent. We had a (very reasonably priced) bottle of Earthquake cabernet to accompany everything. Best part was the service. All servers were excellent but Gracie who served our table tonight was particularly outstanding. We would come again and ask to sit at one of her tables.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, despite it being one of my favorites in West Virginia. I made a reservation for 15 people, but when we arrived they only had a table set up for 11. We had to wait almost 2 hours for them to set up a table for us. During this time, we were completely ignored and not offered any water or breadsticks. The manager and servers didn't come out to speak with us. I also witnessed two tables set up for 15 people being broken down into individual tables because more customers were arriving. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
My experience at the restaurant was terrible. Unfortunately, the blame falls entirely on the General Manager. I hope that he was just having a bad day because if this is the way he normally treats guests, it will ruin the reputation of Oliverio's. Despite the lack of hospitality, my companions and I remained polite. I had hoped that the food would make up for the poor service, but it was also disappointing. I tried three different dishes, each of which was more bland than the last. It seems that disappointment is the flavor of this restaurant.
If you are planning to dine here, ensure that you are among the elite crowd in Bridgeport. I called and made reservations for 7pm the previous day, but when I arrived at 6:45pm, I was informed that tables were still being cleared. Despite having a reservation, we waited for over 30 minutes. During our wait, another couple arrived without reservations and were seated immediately. We made prior reservations and requested no booth seating due to my discomfort in a booth. Upon arrival, they try to set us in a booth. I immediately requested a table to which we were led to a two top table, which is small, and not comfortable for me as well. They then put us at a larger table and we had an extended wait to be served. Food was somewhat overcooked , not the servers' fault. Those are the reasons for my ratings
This is the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food was so good, everything was cooked to perfection, the restaurant is so clean if I didn't know better I would have thought it was a brand new restaurant.
Great, locally owned Italian food. I got the lunch special, grilled cheese on fresh bread with soup. The service was great and I could probably eat 175,733,890 of the bread sticks!!
Had a steak that was mouth watering. It was pricey, but oh my, it was spectacular. Crab balls are so good. Very nice atmosphere. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
