This restaurant is very nicely situated near the Bay. We had a wonderful meal the last time there and were eager to go again, so took our son and his wife and daughter, this time. We had a great lunch. The food is just superb!! Some of the best you'll ever find. The restaurant was quite crowded but the staff were extremely caring - and gave us an excellently placed table. When we had booked, they said they would give us a table which would be suitable for the weather on that particular day - which we thought was especially nice of them. We held a birthday celebration for our son and in attendance were 22 Adults and 3 Children. Over a 3 month period I exchanged a number of emails with Lisa at Olivetos and found her to be an excellent coordinator, all emails were promptly responded to and flexibility was shown with variations requested. On the day the long table was well laid out and being adjacent to the river the views were stunning. No issues with e food which was both excellent in quality and quantity, service was good, non invasive and rarely needing any intervention despite the restaurant being full with several other functions on at the same time. Very large restaurant set in a park - but surprisingly, not too noisy. Many large restaurants are so noisy that you can't talk to your companions, but not so here. Very good menu using fresh seafood, Italian dishes a specialty, steaks etc. Something to please most people. Good service even though extremely busy the day we were there (Sunday). My only criticism is that there aren't many wines available by the glass so we had to order a bottle. Also the rest rooms were very untidy, probably due to the large number of children in the restaurant at a party. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. In the Summer it would be lovely sitting outside looking at the water.
Shocking food but great service. My seafood was over cooked to death and still charged at $42 for 2 prawns, 2 octopus legs, 2 scallops and a little piece of fish. My husband had the pasta with crab meat and the pasta was over cooked to the point where it was a groggy mount. The zucchini flowers were battered to death and fried for too long. We paid $300 and wish we hadn't.Henry is the nicest waiter ever and he was extremely good at his job. Services was to the point but will not go back there for a long time.

Have been mea ing to go here for some yrs and finally did. Was not disappointed at all, excellent wine list (not a large list of by the gls tho) and whilst we just did mains and dessert were well fed by the time we left. We had 2 x 250g steaks cooked to perfection, the salmon - ditto and i went the mixed seafood, excellent. Good service without being over attentive. Desserts were excellent too. My wife wasn't fussed on the flat white. Only quibble. Will def be back.
On the 5th of June we introduced a new team member with a lunch out to a local favourite. Oliveto has a great water front location and a spacious open planning seating. The food has a great home made feel with all pasta made on premise and a good degree of authenticity in the cooking. Although pricey the meals were all very good quality and the service reasonable.
It was a lovely atmosphere near the water at Rhodes. Our meal and service were very good. The service was excellent. Although the staff were not fluent in English it was refreshing to hear the Italian spoken by the staff. Very large room catering for any occasion it was perfect. I would definetly go back.
We recently visited Oliveto for a family dinner our first time. And it was excellent food. Two of us had the pasta and another had the gnocchi, we were very happy with our meals and the service was excellent too! Beautiful wine...we had a great experience & will come back again for a special occasion.

Outstanding dinning experience from beginning to end .. delicious food and great service.. I especially enjoyed sharing the Tuna carpaccio, 1kg T-Bone and Radicchio salad with my very happy family. Wish I could eat like this every night.
No food came out after 2 hours. Left without paying. They had plenty of functions on that day. It looks good but im not risking another bad meal by going again
