My daughter and I stopped by for a quick dinner this evening. We arrived at the same time as a few other groups, but the manager, Zack, promptly seated everyone within minutes. He quickly found a server for the large table he had just seated and personally took care of us and another couple. Our food came out hot and in a timely manner. Everything was delicious, and my margarita was perfect! When I requested a remake of my daughter’s nachos with white queso, Zack was quick to accommodate us. While I enjoyed my meal, I noticed Zack running food, checking on tables, overseeing food preparation, assisting servers, and managing checkout for another large party. We never had to wait for anything!...
The food was generally quite good, but almost everything arrived cold and needed reheating. I had to take away one star because several dishes my group ordered were either cold or only slightly warm. One dish was even served refrigerator cold. However, once our food was warmed up, it turned out to be really delicious. I also had to deduct another star due to the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. It was quite dirty, with food and trash scattered about, crayons left on the seats, and piles of garbage under the tables where we placed our feet. The bathroom was especially unpleasant; I didn't even want to step on the floor.
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were seated—our table was ready in just three minutes. The venue itself is spacious, featuring a bar along with numerous tables and booths. Almost right after being seated, we were served chips and salsa. Our waitress was remarkably efficient, friendly, and speedy; I only wish I had caught her name. The food came out within 8 to 10 minutes, which is impressively fast, and everything tasted fantastic. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!
The food at On The Border was outstanding; the chefs skillfully use the perfect blend of spices to create dishes that are both memorable and satisfying. They also offer draft beer—after all, who doesn't love a cold beer? I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for excellent food at reasonable prices, along with friendly and professional service that comes with sincere smiles. While we enjoyed the drinks and appetizers, our experience was marred by our waiter, Josh. He seemed either intoxicated or under the influence, and it took him an unusually long time to bring us our orders, leaving our frozen drinks close to melting. Additionally, he neglected to check on us to see if we needed anything. Due to his slow service, we ended up forgoing our most important entrees.
I think this restaurant could benefit from a thorough cleaning. The entrance and bathroom doors were dirty, especially around the areas where people touch them. The waitress was fantastic, but there weren't many customers. It felt like everyone had decided to go to Chuy's instead.
