We stayed at the Heritage Lodge and enjoyed brekky, lunch and dinner On The Turps for 2 days in a row. Breakfast was continental bread, cereals, fresh fruit, beverages. Lunch and dinner meals were fabulous, can't recall when I last enjoyed such tasteful dishes! We ordered the crispy pork belly, seared kangaroo, duck breast (almost every main and each was as good as the other. Portions are generous and well presented. We also tried the Rum Raisin icecream and the Citrus poppyseed cake delectable! The staff here are lovely, and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. However, the dining experience (in the Daintree as a whole) is a bit disappointing. The service is excellent, but I would say this is definitely one of the better restaurants in the Daintree.
Excellent choice in the Daintree Forest. Lots of options also for vegetarians and all meals are well prepared and thought through. Service was also very attentive and super friendly. Definitely take the Garlic bread!
