I have been a customer of this restaurant for years whenever I am in the area. It just dawned on me the other day while chatting with the owner that I have never left a review. This place is highly rated, offering excellent value for tea and coffee as well as a wide variety of delicious toasted sandwich options. It's the perfect place to take a break when in Gloster.
to order something other than a 5 review is ridiculous, eating is of excellent quality and freshly cooked to order. I have in the rule the Canarian (brie and cranberry) that is for dying! but yesterday I had the fiery welsh drachen (Cochdar cheese, lukewarm and Tabasco sauce) that was a triumphant! friendly helpful staff also!
Best fast food eatery in the city. Situated on the far side of the docks but well worth the walk to reach it. The sandwiches are always hot and the portions generous. Plenty of variety in the fillings. The Hunter 's is my 'go to ' choice. Seasonal filings 'appear ' throughout the year e.g. Christmas.
I have been coming to On Toast for a couple of years now and I'll be going to On Toast for years to come! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would! Called in today for a Hawaiian toastie and it was delicious , this was my first visit to On Toast and I would definitely go there again! Yes People of Gloucester and Tourists, forget the poncey coffee shops around The Quays, head for On Toast instead !
A very simple concept excellently done. Great range of fillings. Snickers toastie is a great dessert option. Owner very friendly. I'll definitely call again if I'm in the area!
