After placing my order I waited 1 hour 10 minutes before ringing to ask where it was. The rude girl on the phone told me the food was leaving now. I asked if there was a reason it had taken so long. The g8rl just said they were busy. I explained usually it's polite to let people know when there is a long wait for food. The girl didn't say anything and as I was talking another girl came on the phone asking what the problem was in a very rude manner. We went to this takeaway for fish and chips as our usual chippy, further down Preston Old Road was closed due to a holiday. Fish and chips twice and a sausage and chips for £15. The fish was paper thin and you couldn't taste anything other than the old fat that it had been fried in for an hour. The chips looked like last nights left overs. Narled, crusty and rock hard. If I lived a bit closer I'd have taken the lot back and dumped it on their counter. Instead I dumped it in the bin. Normally I would like on be kind and say we have been spoiled by the amazing food served at Preston Old Road chippy and this just didn't match up, but it really was embarrassing, disgusting and a total rip off.
My wife and I visited One Stop for the first time as our son has just moved into this area. We did have to wait for quite a while for our order to be cooked. However, it was well worth it waiting for everything to be cooked from fresh. The fish was especially good white and flaky in texture and the batter was light and crispy. We have tried fish and chips from the many options in Blackpool and One Stop is certainly up there with the best. The price was also good.
I ordered two large fish and found them to be the same size as the normal fish from other fish and chip shops. The batter is very nice. The large chips I ordered for 2.50 were smaller than a regular portion at other chip shops. The chips tasted like they had been cooked twice and were not hot. The mushy peas were not as good as usual. I don't think I will use this restaurant again. The fish was tasty, but I found it to be overpriced for the portion size.

We were coming back late one night and saw this place was still open so decided it was worth giving it a try. Anyway we were pleasantly surprised and have now been back several times! Food is delicious, we've tried the chips, pizzas and my partner has had the Donner Kebab and said it was lovely. The price is really brilliant every time we go we are surprised by the price! Its turned into one of our go to takeaways in the area!
Do not bother with this restaurant. The owner is incredibly rude and disrespectful. We placed our order at 5:45 and it still had not arrived by 7:40. We were then told it would be another 20 minutes. After waiting even longer, we were then told it would be an additional 10 minutes. We decided to cancel our order and will not be ordering from here again.
I have been passing by this restaurant every day on my way to work in the neighborhood for a few months now. I decided to try it tonight and the haddock and chips were fantastic. There was no grease, very flavorful, and the restaurant has a 5-star health rating. I had a really pleasant experience and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Ordered pizzas with chips waited 50 mins live 2 streets away got order wrong was all cold rang to complain was told couldn't be cold we live 5 mins away ? £17 LIGHTER will be the last takeaway from here
