I had a very unpleasant experience at Ono Hawaiian BBQ. The cashier was extremely rude when I asked questions about the menu. When I requested to speak with the manager, she claimed he didn’t speak English, but I told her I speak Spanish, and she still refused. When I asked for the corporate number, she said she didn’t know it. I mentioned that I have experience in customer service and explained that there was no need for her to be rude just because I was asking if they had ribs. Additionally, when I requested broccoli on my plate, they said they couldn’t provide any—even though I’ve been to other Ono Hawaiian locations that gave me broccoli without issue. We will never be ordering catering from here ever again !!!! We had ordered a large amount of food for a family gathering to be picked up two days after we had placed the order. We were shocked to find them calling us back mere hours before we were scheduled to pick up the order, to tell us that they were not able to process the payment. We were left stranded without food for this event and had to scramble before the party was to begin. They also insisted that, while it was visible on our bank statement, that we should still pay them for the food again when we arrived to pick up the food. HORRIBLE service and HORRIBLE planning !!!
The food is decent. However, due to a change shortage, they tend to round up and won't provide you with change. It seems they might be struggling with tips or are just open about not giving exact change. For this reason, I recommend using credit instead of cash if you decide to eat here. The portions are average, and while they might pre-cook some items, it seems that most dishes are made to order, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. I've visited several times, but nothing has really impressed me, which is why I'm giving it a 3-star rating.
I ordered the white fish meal for delivery from the Santa Fe Springs location. Although the delivery took longer than expected, the food arrived hot and fresh. The white fish wasn’t greasy, and it came with a generous amount of sauce. The portion size was sufficient, so we added an extra serving of macaroni salad and shared the fish. The fish was also served on a bed of cabbage, which was a great bonus for cabbage fans.

Food is good however they didn’t send any sauces!! Who wants dry chicken katsu?! The restaurant leaves no options to add notes or special instructions through door dash at the very least you’d expect some sauces hot sauce for approx $15 a plate. Even flame broiler automatically sends you sauces! Disappointed.
This location was disappointing. The mac salad tasted chemical-like and was so bad that I had to throw away the large side order, wasting $10. I also had to discard the mac that came with my meal.
The tables and the floor are dirty. We told the cashier that tables were dirty and she gave us a napkin to clean it. Terrible.Food: 4/5
